Just wondering if there is any news on new restaurants/ businesses/super markets going in here. I know of the new Cody's on Mulberry Lane but again this is the area in front of the Villas. I think one side is going to stay a retention pond but I believe the other will be developed. Moving our stuff into the new villa on Saturday and we're really excited.

Don't see anything there yet but thanks for the link. I'll check back on it.

The Daily Sun has a new weekly spread on TV growth. It is in today's paper. The feature article of this spread is published online: The Villages Daily Sun: Growth (http://www.thevillagesdailysun.com/growth/)

This spread is in addition to the smaller, twice-weekly Construction Updates.

Nothing is being reported for the area you are asking about.

I've heard a rumor that a Winn Dixie might go in that location. Also heard they might put a strip mall in there as well.

Hoping for additional restaurants. Looking forward to the new Cody's. It's nice that Mulberry Lane is within walking distance of Phillips Villas.

At Brownwood at 44A and Powell Rd 'Shooter's World' now has a sign up indicating the future location. I noticed today directly across from McAlister's Deli next to the pharmacy the lot was surrounded by a 6' chain link fence and inside the fence were staked out borders for construction.

Yes, they are moving from Lake Sumter Landing (the second floor above Starbucks).
