The other night our President either lied, miscalculated, misled, played some political game or whatever word(s) you may want to use, but as his nice words become distant, some facts begin to come into play and my bet is that he WILL SIGN any health bill and whether it increases the deficit by "one dime" will mean nothing, much as a lot of what he says comes down.
"Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., rudely shouted "You lie!" when President Obama said Wednesday night that his health reform plan wouldn't subsidize coverage for illegal immigrants. Alas, Wilson shouted at the wrong moment. Obama was right about that. He just lied about a bunch of other stuff"

"If there was any lingering doubt that Barack Obama has a knack for public speaking (and there wasn't), Wednesday's address to Congress and the nation on health care should have dispelled it. But despite the fine words eloquently delivered, Obama's promises on cost containment rang false.
"First, I will not sign a plan that will add one dime to our deficits — either now or in the future," Obama said.
Yet we know that the Congressional Budget Office has estimated that one of the leading health care reform bills, with provisions similar to Obama's ideas, would add $1 trillion to the budget deficit over the next 10 years."
