I had read that before and found that it was incomplete.
I have however found a trademark listing indicating that it is owned by "Holding company of The villages,Inc" The developer's company.

The Developer has control or influence not only with the VHA, but also owns the radio/TV stations here, and has great influence over the Daily Sun. Essentially those are the only sources of information available to residents. as respects The Villages Florida's Friendliest Hometown. This is an observation and not a judgment or complaint and hence I opine you decide

You do have the POA, Property Owners Association is independent of the developer. They distribute the yellow news flyer in the driveways every month, have meetings and investigate and charge $10 annual dues.

Is that why they always agree with their positions?

The VHA exists to protect the developer.

The POA exists to protect the residents.

It really is as simple as that.

As I understand it the VHA is a developer sponsored entity.
