Naughty or Nice List

Am I the only one???

I keep a list of the Posters on ToTV, with little notes associated to each member. Basically notes relating to if they are Naughty or Nice.

Most of my initial impressions (& the related note) is accurate over time, but I have made changes.

Just wondering..............anybody else????

Wow, wish I had time on my hands like that. Won't be the first time I'm on a naughty list; all the DUI arrests I made I had to be on a lot of them.

This will probably put me on the naughty list, but I don't care. How do you define who goes on what list? Is it if they do or do not agree with you? Makes a mean or snarky reply? Post fake news or issues? Inquiring minds want to know?

I had a couple of issues where someone was attacking me and got very condescending.
The Moderators do a pretty good job of deleting the nasty posts.
I pretty much like everyone. I think we all have our good and bad days.

Everyone's definition is different.

Never figured out Santa's definitions.

I think "naughty" as the mean, snarky replies that just aren't necessary. Difference of options.........I learn from those.

Some people just block members.

I've never managed to make a list I could find when needed, so would be a waste of time for me.

Of course, it probably helps that if I think someone got too snarky, I'd comment on it. I've never understood the need to be mean or petty just because of anonymity.

I'd say the biggest problem comes from misinterpreting a comment. It really can be hard to tell if someone is really being unkind when you can't the inflections.

Actually, in the interest of accuracy, TOTV is a 'message/discussion/bulletin' board...and not a "blog."

The primary difference, usually, is that Blogs only allow the owner to post messages and content. Visitors can view, but not post messages and replies. If visitors are allowed to post, it's almost always in the context of an existing message topic or article the Blog owner created. In other words visitors usually do not post new message topics or articles, but rather respond to what the Blog owner has posted.

A Message board, on the other hand, allows everyone to post new messages and articles as well as replying to existing messages.

My list is simple. Everyone except one is in the Nice Column even Thurston Howell III. After a long time on here only one didn't make that list but Naughty isn't strong enough for the other list. Let your conscience be your guide. Act accordingly! The other one is despicable!!!

I can't hide behind anonymity. I think pretty much most people on here know who I am.
I agree with the misinterpreting. I have even gone back and looked at a post I made, then edited and reworded it cause it could be taken wrong.

The biggest problem is what Redwitch said. I have seen things I took the wrong way and have added things that others have taken completely wrong. It's because what we type and what we really mean are just not always the same. It takes a very skilled person to make a written statement that means exactly what they intended it to mean.

I just put those people on my Ignore List but do check once in a while if they change any. Most do not. Some of them have been banned from TOTV it looks like.

I like about 7,000 to one of the people on here. It is about ten that have caused me a lot of torment.
