Has anyone been invaded by these ants and if so, who did you use to get rid of them? Just happened to me UGH!

If they are in a trail following each other I would use some Terro bait that yoynput drops out in the trail. You could use a small piece of paper or thin ccsrdbosrd.

Agreed, Terro works great - entire ant colony gone in 2-3 days. Terro is taken back to the nest.

I would try the Terro as advised. We had Massey at the time and they were able to get rid of them. We now have Dean's and they can't get rid of anything!~. What really burns me up is when I talk to them to describe a problem and they laugh!! My husband is in favor of them, not me. I'd go back to Massey in a heartbeat... We NEVER had roaches (palmettos) or spiders much less a brown recluse in our other house especially after having Massey for a year! And, the person treating our house NEVER laughed at me....

Those lizards all over the place are eating the bugs. It is a balance. You spray to kill the ants and you also kill the predators, the lizards, lady bugs and yes the spiders.

For the ants. The ones you see are the workers. Their function is to take food back to the nest and feed the queen-the one that makes more ants. Simple chlorine bleach will kill them. Follow the trail of workers back to the nest and pour some bleach down. It will kill your grass in that spot. You only need like a tablespoon of bleach to kill off the nest. Oh, if you buy the bleach on sale it is $1.00 a gallon.

It is ok to enjoy the hunt. Mounting them on the wall-I don't think so. There was an artist? that used to make scenes using cocker roaches.
