We are fairly new to The Villages (One year permanent residents now) and had a general dentist who we liked. He has since moved out of Florida so back to square one with researching a general dentist.

Who do you recommend as a general dentist in The Villages? Thank you in advance.

Palm Ridge Dentistry now has THREE dentists; Drs Kathleen Williams and Kareen Jaber, both graduates of University of Florida College of Dentistry at Gainesville.

After a very BAD experience here with a very scammy dentist who said I needed more than Ten thousand dollars worth of work, I found this practice behind Lang eye, across from the High School on 466..

My husband goes to Dr. Jaber who is very smart and very gentle and patient and kind, the mother of a toddler. Dr. Williams is the most medically savvy dentist I have ever met and the most gentle and kind. She has driven back and forth from Gainesville for many years seeking to watch over her aging parents there. She once sent back an enamel cover for my front tooth FIVE times....none of which displeased ME, but she wasn't happy with the color. She has expanded her practice to include a once retired dentist now. I know she has grown because people like her and trust her like we do. She has completely retaught me care of my own mouth and has reduced the need for the frequent visits I once was making to a dentist back in Cincinnati for decay.

I really like Dr David Price @ Sumter Landing Dental. He did a dental implant for me and it was virtually painless. The only bad part was the shot to get numb! He stands behind his work, is pleasant and professional. There is also a male hygienist there that does a great job of cleaning. All the staff is pleasant and caring. I have gone there since they opened, and so far, I am happy.

Wife and I have been patients of Dr Loung for 6 yrs.
She is good- modern equipment and procedures. Fair pricing. Great Office staff.

I have been using Caroline Dentures & Dentistry on 466 for 7 years and its a great practice, they do a lot of procedures in house like dentures, crowns, implants. Great doctor, great staff! Highly recommended

Palm Ridge Dentistry. Dr Kathleen Williams takes care of my teeth and Dr. Kareen Jaber is my husband's dentist. I have nothing but respect for Dr. Williams, an amazing woman, the very best dentist I have ever seen (and I had a great one in Massachusetts) she is kind, thoughtful and concerned for your pocketbook.

As to price, I think most dentists are in line with pricing - although there is a group who practice cosmetic dentistry who are way over the top, but I don't worry about price when I know Dr. Williams is doing a great job of making sure my teeth last out my lifetime!:smiley:
