Lovelock Correctional Center Facility | Nevada Department of Corrections (http://doc.nv.gov/Facilities/LCC_Facility/)

My old boss became the warden of this facility for quite some time and probably met OJ Simpson. Craig seemed fascinated with crime and punishment when we talked while working at the food service at Bower's Mansion Historical Park in Washoe Valley.

I have not had contact with Craig or his partner since 1989 when I called them from Bally's in Reno, Nevada while I was attending my first American Association of Law Libraries convention that Summer of 1989 after graduating from the U of Minnesota Law School several weeks before that.

Simpson is still going to have problems adjusting if and when he gets parole which would be in October 2017 ifit happens.

This is the prison that evidently OJ Simpson has been incarcerated in. Unless he stayed somewhere else before this.

Well if he is over 55 he should certainly be welcome in The Villages rather than all those nasty <55 year olds.

I doubt if many in the Villages would welcome a probable double murderer into their neighborhood. Most of the under 55 year olds I have met who live in the Villages either did extremely well in life, were under achievers, are under some kind of disability, or any of numerous other factors. Many take care of their parents in some form or another.

And I expect OJ Simpson will attract a lot of media wherever he goes if paroled. He would probably have to stay in Nevada.

Fred Goldman is 76 years old now and if O.J. makes it out I imagine his thoughts have had time to ferment while he was locked up. Makes you think of the possibilities doesn't it?

Under 55 here, trying not to be a nasty.

I would not want to find myself anywhere near this dirtbag murderer. He should have been executed shortly after the two murders he committed.

It was a joke based upon old people complaining about <55 year olds living in The Villages.

We all view things differently. a celebrity does something criminal or outrageous or immoral and it gets all kinds of postive headlines day in and day out. Some celebrities are treated like heroes. a celebrity has a drug problem and overdozes and dies and some people go on and on about their greatness. A good image for young people huh.
One could simply say it was sad but a poor life choice. No this nation places them on a pedestal . OJ is such a person and the best punish for him was to make him persona non grata and hence invisible. In primitive day they would have banished him from the tribe

Personal Best Regards:

Personally, I believe OJ got away with murder. OJ was able to hire and I assume pay for an unbelievable defense team.
The prosecutors were way mismatched by OJ's defense team.

BUT, OJ received his lengthy jail term for a crime where no one was injured by people like me who thought he got away with murder. OJ has served 10 years for a crime where others would have gotten away with a slap on the wrist or a year. We cannot, we should not try to penalize OJ for a crime that he probably did commit but was found NOT GUILTY. OJ should be paroled.

Just like Berkowitz, the police will be watching him and every traffics violation etc will be public news. So much for my, in this case liberal??? view. I SURE HOPE HE IS NOT LOOKING IN THE VILLAGES-CALIF IS NOT FAR ENOUGH AWAY-HAWAII-PERHAPS.

I am pretty sure he will have to stay in Nevada for a while. O.J. Simpson Parole Hearing: Will the Nevada Board of Parole Grant His Freedom? - NBC News (http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/o-j-simpson-parole-hearing-will-nevada-board-parole-grant-n784376)

But... the news right now is saying if paroled he will be coming to FL to take advantage of laws that protect people from civil judgments.

Why would you wish this obnoxious human being on the good people of Hawaii ? North Korea would be a much better choice.

He will of course not be asking me. But, if he was, I would not be suggesting he moves to the villages.

Hawaii by the way voted not to follow Trump's immegartion ban. I personally find that interesting as it opens a very old issue of states rights vs the federal government and there has been almost no mention of this in our press.

I truly wish everyone well just there are people I wish well the hell away for me.

Actually, I find OJ's conviction, sentencing and now parole hearing very interesting.

There's an old saying: "You don't get justice in a court of law, you get law in a court of law".

It seems like the judge and jury in Nevada tried to hand out justice for the 1994 murders by overcharging and over sentencing OJ, since the law for similar offences would be much more lenient. Now, will the parole board go by the law, or rather usual parole standards, or try to continue to hand out justice for 1994???

Judges have a lot of leeway with sentencing in certain cases like with OJs.

OJ Simpson granted parole for Las Vegas robbery - ABC News (http://abcnews.go.com/US/oj-simpson-granted-parole-las-vegas-robbery/story?id=48689499)

Link to the story. The Nevada Parole Board did not take into account the matter of the double murders in Los Angeles IMHO.

Simpson requests returning to Florida, where he lived previously. I imagine his desired location would be much more elegant that anything near The Villages. He's had plenty of time, friends, and advice to easily avoid a life of mediocrity. Even with the Goldman award hanging over him, he's well-connected and will probably lead a lavish lifestyle wherever if he chooses.

I lived in Las Vegas when this trial occurred. If it wasn't for the armed robbery portion of the crime he would probably would have gotten off very lightly. I, and others, believe the judge took him to the wall because of the murder of his ex-wife.

His home in Kendall FL sold this past Tuesday for $755K. And then he has his NFL pension of $19K per month. I'm not sure about the house proceeds, but I do know his pension cannot be touched. The Goldmans have repeated been rebuffed about that.

Being found innocent, especially under the circus of a trial he went through is very different than actually being innocent in fact. Remember the Goldmans won.

OJ is a murderer, a dirtbag.
