The JFK conspiracy theory is more important then the ultimate question, "are we alone in the universe"? That is not why this man came forward. There are more of these confessions out there. Thankfully we have Youtube since we cannot rely on mainstream media to cover such stories.

I am surprised by how many people with otherwise excellent thinking skills believe that there is a conspiracy to hide evidence of aliens having visited this planet.

I cannot accept that knowing that an alien was here or is here would be covered up by anyone...ever.

It isn't logical.

And all that pyramid building. It is a simple shape. There was a lot of house building too with squares...at the same time. A lot of dragging around of big rocks. Stonehenge. A lot of attempt to find God or something bigger than man.

I would imagine that any extraterrestrial who visited Earth would realize that there is no sign of intelligent life on the planet and try to sneak out unnoticed. From a technological standpoint their superiority could overwhelm any resistance we could offer to their intentions.

The US government learned a great deal how people would react thanks to Orson Welles broadcast of War of the Worlds. They all freaked out and this was remembered after the Roswell incident. Read Richard Dolan's book called AD After Disclosure to see what else would happen. The greatest damage would to be to the belief system. There is great evidence about why disclosure is being held from the public. All one has to do is read the quote from General Nathan Twining in 1947.

" It's logical," not with closed mind. I mean really why does all the ancient structures point to certain star cluster or Minnic star cluster pattern in the sky?

Why did they need contract undertaker at Roswell for weather balloon?

The governments full of conspiracies starting around 1920 when the career politicians were born.

I heartily agree with you . . . any advanced being from a galaxy far, far, away would be well advised to avoid this planet and its inhabitants.

I watched the ex-CIA worker video with great interest.
Either it's authentic or the CIA worker should get an Oscar.

Donald Rumsfield had a fondness for arranging words in provocative fashion which he referred to as snowflakes. The following examples have application to this thread. Rumsfield said, There are known knowns. There are known unknowns. There are unknowns unknowns. But also there are unknown knowns. That is to say that things that you think you know that it turns out you did not. Another definition of unknown knowns Things that you may possibly know that you don’t know you know.

Scientist continue to find new species on land and under our oceans, New planets and universes are uncovered every day. We do not even understand much of what truly happens and why, on our own planet

Science is never settled. there are by scientist accounts millions of planets capable of sustaining life.

We make a mistake when we base events solely on our life experiences and beliefs because its only one's narrow view. What was your reaction the first time you learned of something shocking, provocative or new? Can you imagine the reaction when men finally came to the reality that the earth wasn't flat?

Hubris drives mankind. And it is sheer hubris to believe this vast universe only belongs to us

Governments by their nature withhold information, work in secret, etc. government men have since the beginning of our Republic been asked to work in secrecy never in their lives to divulge what they did or what they learned.

Look at the disbelief and amazement by people when a time capsule is raised and opened. a whole new world appears before our eyes

I believe in other life forms. I believe some of these life forms are advanced. I believe these life forms have been visiting the earth since ancient times. I believe the reference in the Bible of "fiery chariots in the sky" could well be referring to spacecraft. Read the words again "fiery chariots in the sky" (fiery chariots)

I believe too many of us have had our imagination tainted by B rated science fiction movies. so I don't believe Star Wars exist out there but leave open the wonders of the universe.

Well, what do we have here? Three choices:

1. A liar who is telling this story for self aggrandizement.

2. A man with no integrity, who violated his oath of office.

3. A man who is mentally ill and who believes his hallucinations.

I'll give it a #3.

I watched about the first half before giving up in disgust. First off, I knew something was wrong at about 3 minutes in when he spoke of getting a "White House Q Clearance." There's no such thing. I worked in the White House for six years. I was one of a very few Secret Service agents who had a "Q" clearance, which was issued by the Atomic Energy Commission for access to certain AEC facilities and information. It has nothing to do with the White House.

Then further in this guy claims that Eisenhower had him in to the Oval Office where Eisenhower directed him to go to Area 51 and threaten them with invasion by the First Army if they did not cooperate. (Lifted from the movie Seven Days in May.)

But, I quit watching when the guy claimed that he got into Area 51 and found the storage area where the individual units had garage doors that opened to disclose "a variety of space ships" to include the one from the Roswell Crash.

Sorry, I have better things to occupy my mind.

Believe in it or not, I remember my mother saying that if it were true aliens have been coming for a very long time and are much more advanced than us so if there was something to worry about it would have happened by now. In other words why worry. Having said this I will also second the idea that this universe is so massive that it would be quite egotistical to think we are the only life in it. I love that there is so much yet to learn.

I will agree with you on that. Have the other life forms ever visited this planet? Don't know, I guess it is possible.

I would acquiesce to your expertise. However whether this individual's account is valid or not does not negate the possibility/probability/provability of alien life forms. Its only one man's account.

As usual another one steps forward with a cynical remark. This is exactly why the government won't come forward with the truth. Some just cannot handle it.

I believe in what people like Gordon Cooper has said in his rare interview. I guess that just doesn't count for anything? Or the countless documents that have been discovered? Your dealing with this in your own way. An open mind is needed as well as a skeptical one.

You should read the entire document from General Nathan Twining. LINE A is what says it all.

There are those who will believe this and other that will not. I do not think you will change anyone's mind.

I do not feel any danger, or a need to do something if it were true. Why is it important to convince others of your beliefs?

Posters who feel strongly about a topic, like Lottoguy, want their feelings to be known.
I know you love the Villages and strongly believe the Developers are doing a fine job (as do I).
You want others to hear your beliefs about The Villages, right?

The Villages are great! And the subject of ET is a very interesting topic. It opens up a huge avenue of alternative thinking. Once your mind is opened you finally realize why others are so interested in it. It's about connecting the dots. For example, Roswell happened it July 1947. Two months later because of what was discovered Truman started the CIA and other secretive agencies. Of course some people in government like James Forrestal wanted the public to know. And was killed because of it.

I'm only pointing out things that very few are aware of. It's just a very interesting subject. The two greatest mysteries are: 1/ What happens after we die? 2/ Are we alone? How can anyone not be interested in these two subjects?

Obviously I'm guessing, but I think most people avoid these subjects for three reasons...
Some people genuinely have no interest in the topic. That's hard for people who have a genuine interest to understand.
I think that many people avoid these topics due to religious training.
And perhaps because it's speculation rather than fact.

I'm way past speculation. As many others have as well. It's not longer speculation when you have factual documents straight from the National Archives. Not to mention eye witness reports from astronauts, pilots etc.

If it were true it doesn't appear to change anything about our daily lives. Your belief doesn't harm anyone. Most of us are worried about other things.
