Yep, and I do not get it at all.

Why the lying so much and all the "missed" meetings, the "lost" money, and why is it all about Russia ?

I sure hope they can get this investigation over with soon, HOWEVER, that seems a far out wish. Complicated and so much to digest but when the investigation is over and results known, I can only hope that the country can get over this terrible terrible time in our history. This makes sex in the Oval and covering up a break-in actually so silly.

This concerns a foreign power and the most unfriendly foreign power you can name.

Wondering.....Trump has not mentioned anything EXCEPT Russia in his criticisms of Sessions. He never mentioned his lies about meetings, or his forgetting about meetings, etc.

Why would a President do such a mean thing as is happening ?

If he wants to fire him, so be it...but again, in my opinion, he is showing that it is all about HIM.

Sessions is doing everything that Trump wants done, everything he promised to do. He has been the best soldier Trump ever had, yet he publicly humiliates him. Makes no sense whatsoever....it does seem that he is 100% totally preoccupied with Russia...why ?

Trump said in a tweet on Tuesday that Sessions had "taken a VERY weak position" on investigating his former opponent in the 2016 presidential election, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, over her use of a private email server. On Monday, Trump had called his attorney general "beleaguered".

Trump is angry that Sessions recused himself from the federal investigation into possible collusion between Trump's election campaign team and Russia. The Kremlin says it did not interfere in the election, and Trump has denied any collusion.

Sessions' recusal means he has no oversight of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, whose wide-ranging investigation has focused on Trump aides and his son-in-law Jared Kushner and cast a deep shadow over Trump's presidency.

Two people close to Sessions said the attorney general, who was the first Republican senator to back Trump's presidential campaign, has been deeply offended by the public berating from his boss, but his resolve to stay is strong.

The public attacks by a president on a member of his own Cabinet and onetime close political ally have stunned many in Washington. Trump has torn out yet another page from the rulebook - typically a president would convey his displeasure with a cabinet secretary out of the public eye.

"In an administration where a lot of unexpected things have happened, this may be the most unexpected. This has risen to a level that we have never seen before,” said Douglas Heye, a former top aide to former Republican House Majority Leader Eric Cantor."

It should be added that this kind of action is short sighted in that WITHIN THE PARTY, it will tear things apart. They will not publicly rebuke the President but each instance like this disrupts any loyalty he had, and the Republican party strength. They are lucky that the Democrats do not have a leader, per se, at this point because they are becoming weaker each day he considers only himself and the probe. The probe itself would be news but certainly not as front page as it is because Trump is obsessed with it and himself.

As long as they keep these hearings going they can avoid doing what they were hired to do and that's to legislate. Members of Congress want to avoid voting on bills as much a humanly possible.

Even with all of this nonsense going on, the president has signed over 100 bills which is a huge amount. Imagine what can be accomplished if the Democrats would stop all the stall tactics.

I believe the President ALWAYS sets the agenda and his agenda right now is to stop any and all investigations.

His most ardent fan from the beginning and the one appointee doing exactly what Trump wanted done and doing it well is Sessions YET all we hear is Trump tearing him apart in public.

Trump is setting his own agenda....AND these hearings you demean are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT....everyone, mostly himself, make these hearings about HIM and HIM alone but they are not....they are a service to our country...we have been attacked but all he sees in this is himself and he is convincing you that the country is not at risk
