The senate has scheduled a vote on a health care bill tomorrow but no one knows which bill. What a way to run the country.

Problem is that NOBODY in his own party holds him responsible for anything...lies, deception,..he gets a pass.

I still say he alone is doing severe, perhaps irreversible damage to our presidency. The world stage has already lost respect for the office.

There is no healthcare bill. We have Senators and Representatives trying to keep the lobbyists and industry campaign contributors satisfied while confusing voters enough to return them to office. American voters are very easily confused as is evident by whom we elected president.

Well it really doesn't make much of a difference because:

1) Th progressives all are not interested.

2) the main street media will disagree with all f it despite which of the bills is discussed.

3) and if a bill is passed it will be a vast improvement on Obamacare

The only vote I want to see is the vote to Repeal Obiecare. Time to cut back the open facet spending on the lazy and take back the trillion bucks that Obummer gave away that they stole from Medicare.

Are you forgetting the $600 check Bush sent to every tax payer, $1200 for joint filing. Total cost $120 BILLION.

I wonder if a few Senators could drive up and do a fact finding trip to determine why it cost so much more for administrative costs as well as prescription costs in the US as opposed to Canada? This has nothing to do with level of care. A reduction of $2000 a year for a family of four would be good start in helping to provide affordable health care. then a reduction in prescription cost would be an added bonus!

I can answer that...here healthcare is for profit. You get more innovation...but at a cost...and the profits are huge.

Drug costs, paid for by the government, are high primarily because Medicare does not negotiate drug prices. Insurance plans that cover drugs generally do a good job at negotiating prices.

Even hospitals have created GPOs to purchase drugs and generated significant savings.

By the way, we could save a fortune if Congress and its employees would not keep such an expensive 1st dollar health plan for themselves. Even those who have retired or been voted out of office are allowed to keep it. We should give their plan to our Vets, and let Congress have the VA.

It's worse...the government with the barrel of a gun...forces us all to cooperate with their mandates which allows certain corporations to profit handsomely.

If Medicare doesn't negotiate prices it's because the corporations wrote the laws that forbid medicare from negotiating prices.

There's 535 of them...a drop in the bucket compared to the $ trillion we spend on the poor.

Yes, being "royalty" is a nice deal. Why do you think they do it? Why do you think the sociopaths/psychopaths run for office? For the power and prestige...and the money. For the "kiss ass" royal treatment. A law that should be a paragraph ends up being 3,000 pages because everyone needs their cut.

The Mayo Clinic wins by successfully treating McCain...rich people pay a lot of money for the very best treatment.

Is the Mayo where McCain was treated in Arizona? He is a resident of Arizona.

Everyone agrees that Congress has excellent health care plans.

Trump and the White House staff can get the same health care plans as Congress. I don't begrudge them anything in healthcare.

Here's a link to a story (by CNN) about the specifics of their plan:

How do Congress' lawmakers get health care? - CNNPolitics.com (http://www.cnn.com/2017/07/18/politics/senate-health-care-benefits/index.html)

Note that they have access to 57 plans in the gold tier.

I love that thinking. Maybe John McCain will be able to do something with his return and his willingness to fight. I would probably have voted for him if he had not brought in Sarah Palin.

Because in America...healthcare is for profit...and they profit as much as they can.

It's a conflict of interest to hold someones life in your hands as you negotiate price.

Some of these attitudes being expressed NOW had they been the attitude going in, we may have been close to real closure on this national problem.

If you want PARTY VICTORY, that is different than what is best for the country !!!!

"Three main points quickly emerged after the GOP's seven-year effort to kill off ObamaCare seemed to die a final death: the need to have bipartisan committee work, a desire to stabilize insurance markets and calls for administration action to change the healthcare law.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), one of three Republicans to vote against the so-called skinny bill, said she talked to Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.), the chairman of the Senate Health Committee, on the floor, and he is already putting panel staff to work.

Thune also said Alexander and his committee's ranking Democrat, Sen. Patty Murray (Wash.), could work on fixes to the healthcare system in committee.

In a statement early Friday morning, Murray said she looks forward to bipartisan hearings and more discussions.

Let us watch if these guys and gals, including the President want healthcare reform and costs declination OR simply want PARTY victory.

This is NOT a Republican problem or a Democratic problem but a national problem
