First of all, I think "The Big Sick" is not a good title for a movie, but aside from that, I enjoyed this movie. The tale of two people from different backgrounds meeting and falling in love certainly has been told many time before, but this telling is a good one.
Excellent acting all round - watch for Holly Hunter and Ray Romano who play the parents of the young woman of the "star-crossed" couple in love. The actor and actress who play the parents of the young man are also excellent. What do you do when your adult son or daughter falls in love with someone from a different cultural/religious background?
I think the use of the "F-Bomb" could have been cut way back without a problem; this is probably why the movie has an R rating.
