THE PROPOSED NEW IMMIGRATION POLICY ANNOUNCED BY PRESIDENT TRUMP AND MEMBERS OF CONGRESS THIS MORNING is already driving Liberals crazy. Liberal news reporters were unhinged in today's Press Conference.

The proposed law would include:

1. The immigrant must be able to speak English.

2. The immigrant must be financially self-sufficient and able to support themselves.

3. The immigrant cannot go on American welfare.

4. The immigrant job skills must be above low-income levels.

5. The immigrant must want to assimilate.

The purpose of these rules is to avoid driving our low income workers into unemployment by having immigrants come in and take their low income jobs, and to avoid adding to the welfare rolls which affects all taxpayers.

I understand this is the first move to change immigration policy since 1965. Note that this proposed law is about LEGAL IMMIGRATION, not ongoing Illegal Immigration.

Although I'm sure my messages in support of this plan will fall on deaf ears with one of my Senators who is a Democrat, and my Representative in Congress who is also a Democrat, I will send them (and my Republican Senator) a message today.

You could do the same.

That seems to be where it belongs Carl in Tampa. I always ask myself what would some of my Immigration Law Professors and fellow students think of policies. This was at the U of MN which is very liberal in outlook.

Loved Jim Acosta's comments----typical of the ignorant thinking at CNN. God forbid we have an immigration policy that benefits America!

This does NOTHING...they drop anchor babies. They've dropped 50 million of them over the last 30 or so years.

Hispanics ARE the majority below age 7. They will be the absolute majority within 30 years.

NOW IS A GOOD TIME TO CORRECT A FREQUENT ASSERTION OF THE IGNORANT. The inscription "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" IS NOT WRITTEN ON THE STATUE OF LIBERTY.

Although France gave us the Statue of Liberty, it did not provide for a PEDESTAL on which to mount the Statue. One of the fund raisers to pay for the Pedestal was American poet Emma Lazarus.

In appreciation for her fund raising efforts, a display was set up INSIDE THE PEDESTAL in her honor. Included in the display was her poem "The New Colossus" which includes the phrase quoted above. It was not intended to be regarded as a PART of the Statue or of the Pedestal.

And it is certainly not American law or policy. America cannot absorb all of the people who want to immigrate here, and certainly not those who cannot contribute to the economy or the culture by getting a job and assimilating into our way of life.

Don't let anyone brow-beat you about the poem.

It is only a proposed law, and you are correct that it is probably too little, too late.

Liberals are already screaming that the proposal is simply an attempt to "make America White again." Well, I view it as an attempt to mitigate the eight year effort of Obama to "fundamentally transform America."

Transform America how? We know how, By encouraging illegal immigration from Spanish speaking countries to the south of Mexico, and from Mexico. By encouraging immigration of millions of "refugees" from Muslim countries, bringing in people who are insisting upon observing Sharia Law and refusing to assimilate. By refusing to enforce immigration law, and allowing illegal immigrants apprehended by ICE to be released, and not pursuing them when they fail to appear in court. Basically, by diluting the culture brought to America by White Europeans.

I don't agree with the Liberals that the law is intended to make America White Again, quite simply because more and more people all around the world speak English as a second language.

But, to be quite clear, I believe the success of the United States was built upon the society, culture, and religion of White European immigrants. I believe Obama deliberately mounted an attack on our culture for eight years because of his demonstrable antipathy towards our country as discussed in his autobiographical books.

Perhaps the American culture can be salvaged by Trump's emphasis on punishing illegal immigration, and the rapid deportation or incarceration of violent illegal aliens. Build the southern border barrier.

One possible ray of hope is that the Hispanic culture tends to be predominately Catholic, so there are some common religious values there between them and descendants of White European immigrants. Perhaps their impact on the culture would be less. I lived in San Antonio, Texas, for over a half a decade, immersed in Mexican culture. I was quite comfortable because I shared common values with my Mexican friends.

When it comes to assimilating Muslims, the outlook is not as rosy. Now I worked for and with Muslims for a couple of years in a family business, and we got along well. But, they were not "observant" Muslims, just as members of various religions are not strict in their religious practices.

Unlike Jews, who no longer propose to perform certain barbaric punishments pronounced in the Torah, the Muslims still practice extreme punishments as instructed in the Koran. How can "observant" Muslims assimilate into American culture?

The brown/black 3rd worlders...THEY are the majority of immigrants. It all changed in the 1960s. We went from being a white country to now...we're 50:50...50% white...50% everyone else. Within 30 years...we're 20-25% white...and a shell of our former glory.

The poem was also written about white immigrants there was NO black/brown immigration back then.

In the 1890s, right after that poem is written...immigration to the US is:

You can clearly see that immigration has reversed...from mostly white to mostly brown. 16 million Hispanics immigrated to the US in the year 2000...it's higher now. We're being invaded and the government is aiding it.

I understand the logic behind it but this proposed law bothers me. My mother would not have been allowed entry because she did not speak English. Heck, she lived here for thirty years and her German accent was so heavy she may as well not have spoken English. The farms really do need the low-income workers. The price of our food would skyrocket without these workers. Refugees, even if in grave danger, would not be allowed. There would either have to be too many exceptions made (and another bureaucracy created) or it really would be whites only.

Roosevelt had a chance to save Jews pre WWII but said only those financially solvent would be accepted. Hitler refused to let them leave with their belongings. Ultimately, the Final Solution was implemented by the Nazis. I sincerely hope and pray that America never again puts money before lives.

As with many of Trump's proposals, the idea is not fully thought through and legalities are tossed to the side.

Nicely put Red. Trump does shoot from the hip often with his policy proposals. I know some very highly educated professionals in the Villages whose English is not exactly all the good but they are great at their jobs. Some of these were born in the US but just were in pockets of people who speak in their parents and grandparents languages rather than in English. Their proficiency is medicine and pharmacology.

Trumpanzee's wants are much different than what he will get.

The news (even Fox Noise) has reported that Congress has many more things on the agenda than this ridiculous idea. It also does not have many supporters in Congress.

Trumpanzee will be holding a rally in West Virginia and will be touting this plan. Those rednecks (his brain dead and in-bred base) will be cheering like it will happen. Ridiculous!

They can hire young people to do it. They can get welfare recipients to do it. WHY do we have people on welfare who can work and immigrants here actually doing the work? They REFUSE to work? Then we MUST refuse to house and feed them. F@ck them calling it slavery. It's NOT "slavery" to expect someone to work for their room and board.

Many countries have expelled the Jews...not just Germany. Let's be honest.

We DO put money before lives...every day...in many areas.

And there are MORE who arrive without English skills OR an education. THAT is what we must prevent.

Again...they're educated white people...not uneducated, needy, worthless colored people. Coming here with nothing but their clothes and NO skills. Well...maybe pharmacology...drug USE...not research.

1. When your mother came to America it was a different era. We have to deal with today's economic realities. We need people who can immediately take jobs and assimilate into our society now.

2. This proposal is a law dealing with permanent immigrants, not seasonal farm workers. They are dealt with differently.

3. Refugees would continue to be dealt with under different provisions, as they are now. They don't come in under our basic naturalization laws now.

4. The story of the Jews on the ship St. Louis is tragic. However it should be pointed out that the ship originally headed for Cuba, where the passengers expected to get visas to enter the United States. When Cuba cancelled the refugees' transit visas and denied entry to most of the passengers, the ship headed for the United States without visas. Accordingly, the ship was not allowed to land and the ship returned to Europe.

Of the 908 St. Louis passengers who returned to Europe, 254 (nearly 28 percent) are known to have died in the Holocaust. 288 passengers found refuge in Britain. Of the 620 who returned to the continent, 366 (just over 59 percent) are known to have survived the war.

THIS is the OFFICIAL ACCOUNT from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and differs from the claim that the Jews were excluded by President Roosevelt for financial reasons.

Do we REALLY want that? I'd MUCH rather have white people/white kids doing that work than minorities. Those people are there doing that work because we don't want "our kids" doing that kind of work. We spoil our kids. The blacks won't do it because it's easier to collect welfare. We had no choice other than to hire the Hispanics to do those jobs.
