I tracked a package today and saw that it was out for delivery. Tracked it later and it said it had been delivered. Opened the front door and there it was. It was USPS and wasn't anything special, just a head cover. First time I have ever gotten mail on a Sunday. I feel special now.

Same here.
It is sort of strange getting mail on a Sunday, but I do get packages from Amazon on Sundays. Kind of freaky to see a USPS truck or van in the neighborhood, but it nice not having to wait till Monday for delivery.

Amazon on Sunday is a norm for us. :pepper2::pepper2:

I almost wish Amazon gave you the choice of wanting Sunday delivery or not when you order on Friday. Most of the time, the item is not that important that it can't wait until Monday. I feel bad for the USPS workers having to do extra work on Sunday for non-rush things.

USPS has contracted with Amazon to deliver their packages. These include Sunday delivery. In an area the size ofvTV that likely means multiple trucks. The PO people get Sunday pay. The way I understand it, they are very willing to do that package delivery work.

I think that Amazon is single handedly keeping the USPS afloat.

I am a huge fan of Amazon. (Do most people belong to Prime?)
I use Amazon.com when I'm in the USA and Amazon.ca when I'm in Canada.
My deliveries almost always come before the promised delivery date, including Sundays.

Most stores in Bergen County N.J. are closed on Sunday. I remember when I was a child that Sunday was a family day. Nothing nicer than getting a Amazon delivery at 8.20 am on Sunday and having the whole house in a panic because of the doorbell and the dog losing his mind over the doorbell and they drop the package where you can't see it and are gone by the time we get to the door. We could have waited till Monday for our Gummy Bears. I'm not for Sunday deliveries or banking which we had in N.J.

I'm pretty sure they're getting paid overtime for working Sundays.

As a former USPS employee I am glad to see their Sunday deliveries. Maybe the public will quit complaining about their service. They deliver any Express or Priority packages on Sunday.
