I am not a Trumpster by any stretch of the imagination but am very concerned with the not stop criticism of the Commander and Chief's fire and fury comment. Yes to report his comments is news but does not criticizing his stance 24/7 aid and comfort N Korea and put us at risk. We need to stop spilling out guts everyday displaying for our enemies how screwed up we are as a people. IMHO

It is valid criticism of our hothead in chief. You want very calm people when dealing with someone who can call up nuclear weapons. That's why North Korea is so worrisome as that leader also seems to be some ruled by his emotions.

Conspiracy theories abound.

Have you read the international press ?

Have you read or listened to anyone other than the two you include in a conspiracy of some sort ?

The "surprise" at his remarks are pretty universal.

Without weighing the good or bad, our Presidents remarks are "unique" and a bit unprecedented. That does not make him wrong or right, but this constant attack on media and conpiracy theory thing has to have an end.

Not criticizing Trump here...just sick and tired ofvstupid conspiracies. Grow uo

We all have who we support or not.....like it or not.

Too many have a difficult time since their candidate/party lost the election last November.

It is what it is.

Call it a conspiracy or whatever suits the beholder.

There is no doubt what so ever that the main stream media, the anti Trump folks and congress (both r& d)
go to great lengths to highlight each and every syllable of every comment made by Trump.

Always quick to pounce and hammer away at the negative even if it was good. All are in the ongoing, bombastic resistance mode to our elected POTUS.

How about standardizing the optics and criticisms.
Either review Obama with the current Trump optics/measures or measure Trump with the Obama optics/measures. The results would be absolutely amazing.

The anti Trump thing has become so bad those who participate, religiously like in bashing Trump to further their cause fail to understand the negative and destructive impact they are having on the USA.
Those same people also fail to realize how they are being manipulated and used in efforts to save the politics as usual partisan cronies.

Yes the mainstream media does in fact do two covert activities.

They constantly make a banquet out of a ham sandwich each and every day over anything Trump does/says.....consistently repetitive with a negative spin.

Secondly? We will never ever see or hear that which Trump does or says that results in an improvement of.....anything.

For these people and organizations it will never be America first. For them, and the lemmings that follow, it is all about party/me first.......very un-American!!

Ok...you are completely changing the subject of the thread.

I say this because the next charge will be that the subject was changed to attack Trump.

The op made a specific point about this NORTH KOREA issue and TWO specific networks.

If you wish to discuss the media in general, fine start a thread.

This was not meant to attack Trump....methinks you see everything as a conspiracy to get him...it was begun on one issue and two media sources....stick to the subject.

My only comment is that the media reports what is said and done by the President. Has been that way since the beginning and again, if you can supply a lie told by the media, PLEASE alert us.

BUT please stop hijacking and changing the subject of threads in order to continue another theory he has told you exists.

Our President thinks he is managing Real Estate deals....

"Global leaders called for calm and a return to negotiations after Donald Trump’s warning that the US is willing to be impose unprecedented fire and fury on North Korea unless it stops threatening the United States with a nuclear attack.

China urged Trump and Kim Jong-un to avoid “any words or actions” that might cause further tensions. Pyongyang had responded to Trump’s warning, saying it was considering a missile strike on the US Pacific territory of Guam.

In a brief statement, China’s foreign ministry said “even greater efforts” were now needed to resolve the issue through talks."

"Amongst America’s traditional allies there was concern that Trumps’ unexpected rhetoric might tear apart the careful consensus forged at the UN in recent weeks over ramping up economic sanctions. No warning had been given to Western allies that Trump intended to escalate US threats.

The Australian leader Malcolm Turnbull warned a US military strike would have “catastrophic consequences for the world”, and the New Zealand prime minister, Bill English, said the comments were “not helpful in an environment that is very tense”. English said Trump’s comments were more likely to escalate the situation than settle it."

All this bluster from Trump supporters, while quietly his family is simply going to take over the airways PERHAPS ???

He has begun his own Trump news on Facebook, but it is still the base for FAKE NEWS.....the truth is non exisistent on there as well, then we have this....

"Sinclair Broadcast Group is expanding its conservative-leaning television empire into nearly three-quarters of American households — but its aggressive takeover of the airwaves wouldn’t have been possible without help from President Donald Trump's chief at the Federal Communications Commission.

Sinclair, already the nation’s largest TV broadcaster, plans to buy 42 stations from Tribune Media in cities such as New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, on top of the more than 170 stations it already owns. It got a critical assist this spring from Republican FCC Chairman Ajit Pai, who revived a decades-old regulatory loophole that will keep Sinclair from vastly exceeding federal limits on media ownership."

The change will allow Sinclair — a company known for injecting "must run" conservative segments into its local programming — to reach 72 percent of U.S. households after buying Tribune’s stations. That’s nearly double the congressionally imposed nationwide audience cap of 39 percent.

The FCC and the company both say the agency wasn’t giving Sinclair any special favors by reviving the loophole, known as the “UHF discount,” which has long been considered technologically obsolete. But the Tribune deal would not have been viable if not for Pai’s intervention: Sinclair already reaches an estimated 38 percent of U.S. households without the discount, leaving it almost no room for growth.

Just another line of Republican BS......the truth is

The accord calls for a consortium of nations, led by South Korea and Japan, to provide the North with two light-water nuclear reactors, designed in a manner that makes it far more difficult for the North to convert nuclear waste into atomic weapons.

The total cost of the project was put at $4 billion by Robert L. Gallucci, the chief American negotiator with the North. The financing would be supplied by South Korea, Japan and possibly Germany, Russia and the United States.

Under the accord, North Korea would agree to allow full and continuous inspections of its existing nuclear sites, freeze and then later take apart some of its most important nuclear plants and ultimately ship out of the country fuel rods that could be converted into fuel for weapons.

You know this President is so damn self absorbed. He keeps saying things and even if you want to support him, how do you allow his lies to just go on. His supporters on here are already saying things about previous administrations that are simply not true and made up.

This morning the President tweeted about how HE had made our nuclear arms so much stronger BUT THAT IS A LIE.

When you want to root for him, he still lies...remember the days when a lucid president would say....thankfully the previous administration ordered an update......

"But is the U.S. nuclear arsenal, as Trump boasted in a tweet earlier on Wednesday “now far stronger and more powerful than ever before...”

Probably not.

And almost certainly not because, as he also tweeted, that his first order as president “was to renovate and modernize our nuclear arsenal.”

First of all, it wasn’t his first order — there were orders and memos on the Affordable Care Act and a hiring freeze, for example, that came before it, according to a USA TODAY database of his memos and orders.

More to the point, the renovations and modernization to the arsenal that he suggests were part of that order were put in motion by the Obama administration. Moreover, Trump’s order of Jan. 27 to rebuild the armed forces directed Defense Secretary Jim Mattis “to ensure that the United States nuclear deterrent is modern, robust, flexible, resilient, ready, and appropriately tailored to deter 21st-century threats and reassure our allies.”

That launched a review, not any new nuclear weapons programs. The review, typical for a new administration in the post-Cold War era, is ongoing and won’t be completed for months."

The world views Trump as an unstable and incompetent leader, and that's why North Korea feels free to act up. “This is, by far, the least capable person ever to sit in the office and it’s appalling they have to deal with him,” said the president of Eurasia Group, a global risk-assessment firm. “Even in a country that really needs to have a good relationship with the United States, you’re just not willing to deal with it. What makes Trump different is that he’s systematically trying to delegitimize the news as an institution because they won’t cover him the way he wants to be covered. That’s what’s different here. He’s actively provoking people to distrust the news, to distrust information that doesn’t come from him. This is what demagogues and despots do.

Rubicon is the reason I began to post here again. This kind of post is so outrageous, wrong, untruthful, uninformed, it has to be corrected.

You have no idea of what you type Rubicon..none. You simply mouth what you are told to mouth.

I, personally, know for a fact your post is stupidity.

Do those networks you mention have critics of Trump...sure. Why that is bad escapes me, except I believe you like Trump and Fox want a dictator...never a disagree mention. And it appears with the advent of Facebook News, and allowing growth of Sinclair that is the goal.

I believe discussion is necessary when the United States of America threatens a nuclear attack on anyone.

I might remind you that I certainly am aware of criticism but also on Fox....it always depends on the commentator, yet you like Trump tear down everybody because the just might disagree with the White House.

You are the epitome of that minority of 35% who want him to ascend a throne.

You destroy any chance to discuss issues with your attitude of Trump is never wrong....everyone is picking in Trump.

There is not a conspiracy theory around every corner.

"While other networks are covering Trump’s myriad setbacks and scandals, Fox presents an alternative reality in which the bumbling president is close to infallible (except when he splits with fellow populist Jeff Sessions), his critics are “snowflakes,” and the biggest threat facing America is, depending on the day of the week, either the Hillary Clinton email scandal, “the war on Christmas,” or “political correctness.” It’s all too reminiscent of the Soviet-era TV stations that ran stories about record grain harvests even as grocery shelves were bare.

Fox is ever more firmly entrenched in the official echo chamber of Trump Nation — and ever more divorced from reality. The National Enquirer, owned by Trump friend David Pecker, is Trump’s Pravda (its recent cover story: “Hillary Framed Trump Family! How she set up Donald’s son with dirt file emails!”). Breitbart, once chaired by Trump aide Stephen Bannon, is his Sputnik. Fox is the jewel in the crown — Trump’s own version of RT. “A lot of people wish President Trump was a dictator,” Fox host Jesse Watters said on July 27. Perhaps at Fox “News."

Although hyperbolic, Trump simply stated North Korea's escalating nuclear threats intolerable.... Notice he did not set any RED LINES. However what he did intimate is that the USA has the ability to raise the geopolitical temperature and the means to carry it out. Trump has the support of NSA Mc Masters and Defense secretary Jim Mattis. Lindsey Graham added that North Korea needs to believe Trump. Hence China needs to believe Trump and they better begin by cutting off oil to North Korea
Trumps' comments also were a signal to the North Korean regime that the need to get their house in order, perhaps with leadership change.

Watch to see the the military buildup Trump makes present in the pacific theater.

The North Korean leader is a very unstable individual to begin with much like Donald John Trump.

Some can find a conspiracy against Trump in any article, any news feed, any post, ANYTHING whatsoever. They worry about HIM first before anything, as does he.

There is ALWAYS a conspiracy theory behind everything....while his OBVIOUS conspiracy's are denied with great vigor.

It is Trump before the country and is as he always says in his tweets....SAD

It would take a team of top-notch psychiatrists, many years, to try to determine what made Chump such a lying, lowlife, megalomaniacal, malignant narcissist.

In the end, it wouldn't really matter regarding the reasons he is what he is, as the most important question (which can never be answered)...is why so many idolize and approve of those abhorrent personal traits. :ohdear:

Given the fact that Trump's biggest supporter demographics are uneducated whites, it's my theory that Trump has used his comments as code words and dog whistles to reach out to them and their bigotry/racism (whether consciously acknowledged by them or not).

It's their fear about how America is no longer mostly lily-white, no longer looks mostly like themselves...and white privilege is slowly declining.

I do have confidence however, that the younger generation who live in a multi-cultural world and are shown to be much less bigoted/sexist/racist/misogynistic than a lot of those that are our age, will eventually succeed in what this country is supposed to stand for (equality for ALL), when all of the the old white/bigoted/racist/misogynistic (IOW, a large % of Trump cultist)...eventually die off.

It's now time to hear from those...who will prove my theory correct. :ho:
