Anybody have any recommendations? In the past we've always bought Lazyboys but it seems like they've gone downhill a bit lately. Whenever I use the recliner, Ralphie the beagle jumps and curls up on the footrest part of the recliner so it will be one of our first purchases after we arrive in the Villages late next Tuesday.

We recently bought a recliner sofa. We looked at the ones at the Lazy Boy store in Clermont and liked what we saw, but the ones at Hudsons seemed nicer. A few days later we stopped at Babbetts and they had the same one as Hudsons but for a cheaper price, so we bought it.

I'll have to try Babbetts. Thanks.

Lane makes a large variety of recliners. I've had one in the past and liked it a lot.

(I'm currently shopping for a recliner for a very tall man, just in case anybody has any suggestions. I'll probably end up with a Lane, but the model I'm interested in is never on display at a store, so I have to be careful how I purchase it...heheh.)

We bought our Lazyboy recliners from the Lazyboy store in Ocala. Good selection and service from the store. Our 80 pound lab likes to think it she is a lap dog, so the footrest must be sturdy! No problems in the two years we have had our recliners.

We just purchased from Babette's, ask for Tim, 2 Palliser leather, contemporary/ transistional, zero gravity power recliners. We special ordered, took about 4 weeks and we love them. Most comfortable recliners and don't look like they belong in a big man cave, fit in very well with our other more modern/transitional furniture.

I just bought a Flexsteel reclining love seat from Babettes. I liked it better than Lazyboy because the Flexsteel power buttons are on the side. The Lazyboy had a remote control attached to a cable, which I didn't like. Just make sure you get one that has separate controls for the reclining and headrest adjustments.

Bought Southern Motions recliner furniture from Hudsons in Ocala. Power head rests also. Nice for reading or watching TV.

We love the action of the La-Z-Boy fixed manual recliner. This is the one where you raise the footrest by the handle on the side and recline by leaning back, similar to zero gravity. You go back all the way so you're almost flat; it's great for resting or taking a nap. I wasn't aware of the difference in the actions and bought rocker recliners when we lived up north. What a difference! These are so comfortable!

Recently I bought a glider recliner for my daughter and son in law. It's a must in their nursery. Well, I purchased it from Babies R Us. The company name is Best Furniture made in Indiana. I suggest you go to their website either Babies R Us or Best furniture and review their line. They have award winning designs and the comfort level was great! I had made up my mind that the next chair I get will be from that company!

Find your model and check the internet for same model price. For a Barcalounger costing $1000 plus tax at Family Furniture Leesburg, we got for $760 on line no taxes and no shipping cost. I had to unbox and assemble.

Asked family Furniture if they could price match and they declined. They offered that If I had a problem with the product, they would be better able to serve me than the internet. Bought online and am happy.

I used a site called PatioLiving and they shipped free, no taxes and had a 10% discount offer.
