I'm closing on my home in TV in two weeks. I'll be spending a week at the new place before I head back north. Unfortunately, my northern home here has not sold yet. As soon as it does sell I plan on being in TV full time.

I know TV has a home watch program but I am looking for opinions on a home watch service you forum members have used and would recommend. What the charge is and how often they check.

Any and all info is appreciated.

Thanks

Fredster

Ditto. Several of the others frequently mentioned on TOTV did not serve my village, but no such issue with Lighthouse. The first Summer we had them Jamie noticed our sprinkler controller was broken and was watering every day (explaining the big water bills we were seeing). He arranged for it to be replaced for a very reasonable price (an expense that was fully offset within 6 months as a result of the significantly lower water bills). Another time he coordinated a visit by the folks who put in our water filter to have a leaky valve replaced. Lighthouse does a great job. I'm sure the others do also and as long as they serve your area, you probably can't go wrong with just about any of them.

Integrity First Services 352 445-1834 does a great job. Owned and operated by a retired police officer of 34 years. He is the only one in your home, no subs to others. $49.95 a month includes all. He is a Village resident also. Very honest and trustworthy.

Do you know what Village he lives in? Also, does have his insurance company provide you with proof of workers comp insurance in case he gets injured on your property?

He charges $10 a visit. We've had air conditioning problems on our new villa and jeff has been great at meeting the repair guy at the villa promptly. We are really happy with Jeff.

Agree with Fredster! Jamie at Light House is the best! Reliable and keeps us notified of his visits.

I think the average price paid is $40/per month for a weekly visit. Or $10 a visit.
More if additional services are required, like meeting a contractor at your house.
We've been using Village Watchdogs for ten years. We like them a lot.
Sorry, I don't have my TV address book handy, but please PM me if you want contact info.

We use Don and BK Cunningham. Our charge is $45/ month. Don has shown our property to several potential tenants while we interviewed them via phone. My tenants contact him if any problems arise. He has called in a plumber whenit was necessary. Monthly photos were emailed to us when he checked on our empty house. When the watering restriction went into effect, he notified us and adjusted the sprinkler times. We've been very pleased with their services.

We've been using Don & BK Cunningham for our home watch for two years now and highly recommend them. Great couple to work with and trust them in taking care of our home/investment. BK also does an awesome job of cleaning in between tenants!
