"Republicans in Congress, the highest of intelligence officials, the highest of military officers in our country, leaders of the business community -- all of whom have dealt with the White House, and many of them dealt personally with Donald Trump -- have come to believe that he is unfit for the presidency," -Carl Bernstein, original reporter for the Watergate scandal and author of "All the President's Men".

From the same article you reference....
"
Some Republican lawmakers, like U.S. Sen. Bob Corker, have joined Democrats in publicly raising questions about Trump's fitness for office. Last week the Tennessee Republican said that Trump "has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability nor some of the competence that he needs to demonstrate in order to be successful."
Carl Bernstein: This is the Trump story reporters need to cover - Aug. 20, 2017 (http://money.cnn.com/2017/08/20/media/trump-carl-bernstein-reliable-sources/index.html)
This jives with what I posted earlier I am hearing from some reliable people.
Kelly is his last chance. If he goes off one time, mass exodus of staff. I am hearing they fear leaving him alone.
Thus I think he will deliver his speech tonugh and do well, and will calm down for a bit.

He looked like he has serious mental health issues while on the campaign trail. And things have been getting worse week-by-week.

Republicans are quietly discussing Trump's mental state is the subject matter here.
Given the disappointing and dismal performance of both the Democratic and Republican Parties. And given the added lead from behind attitude of the last administration one can understand status quo politician horror over Trump's activities.
to these political leaders (all) its as if Trump is asking flat earthers to sail with him around the world.:D
Trump is asking them to leave their comfort zone and they do not have enough imagination or intestinal fortitude to venture there.

Trump is a nut job. Its been obvious to everyone with half a brain. He isn't able to lead - he doesn't have the skills or qualifications. The country is now being run by the military, Trump's unqualified son-in-law Kushner, and Trump's cabinet - the worst in history - extremists and unqualified.
Mnuchin - Secretary of the Treasury - no experience in economic policy
DeVoss - Secretary of Education - history of trying to destroy public education
Puzder - Secretary of Labor - an outspoken opponent of minimum wage increases and laws mandating break time and overtime pay
Pruitt - Administrator of EPA - climate change denier and longtime ally of the fossil fuel industry
Flynn - National Security Advisor - conspiracy theorist, eventually fired by Trump for lying, something Trump does at every turn.
Ben Carson - Head of Housing - never ran a government agency, certainly no housing policy expert
Sessions - Attorney General - a racist praised by white extremists

Interesting how you liberals are able to parrot talking points but seem to be remiss in any qualifying evidence of your accusations. I'll wait patiently for a response with your list of evidence supporting your comment.

Interesting to me is how conservatives' eyes glaze right over evidence placed before them.

You've got to be kidding. You post something by Carl Bernstein, one of the most biased reporters in US history and expect anyone to buy into it. I don't know how many more absurd things the left can come up with.

I still think there could have been a new health care bill had the President put in the work
"The relationship between President Trump and Senator Mitch McConnell, the majority leader, has disintegrated to the point that they have not spoken to each other in weeks, and Mr. McConnell has privately expressed uncertainty that Mr. Trump will be able to salvage his administration after a series of summer crises.
What was once an uneasy governing alliance has curdled into a feud of mutual resentment and sometimes outright hostility, complicated by the position of Mr. McConnell’s wife, Elaine L. Chao, in Mr. Trump’s cabinet, according to more than a dozen people briefed on their imperiled partnership. Angry phone calls and private badmouthing have devolved into open conflict, with the president threatening to oppose Republican senators who cross him, and Mr. McConnell mobilizing to their defense."

I called his one about two months ago.
"Mitch McConnell’s allies sent a stern warning to Trump that if he knocks off Republican Senators and Democrats get control of the Senate, he’ll be on the fast track to impeachment.
The New York Times reported:
But Mr. McConnell’s allies warn that the president should be wary of doing anything that could jeopardize the Senate Republican majority.
“The quickest way for him to get impeached is for Trump to knock off Jeff Flake and Dean Heller and be faced with a Democrat-led Senate,” said Billy Piper, a lobbyist and former McConnell chief of staff."

Former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Tuesday that President Donald Trump "thinks that he's the smartest guy in the room — and that's the biggest mistake a president can make" amid reports about a rift with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
"When it comes to decisions involving domestic policy, I don't think he listens very well," Panetta, who served in the Obama White House, told Anderson Cooper on CNN. "The result is, he hasn't been willing to build the kind of team that he built on national security.
"He's built a strong team on national security. Thank God he's willing to listen to them.
"What he needs to do is to build that same kind of team when it comes to the legislative challenges he faces on the Hill," Panetta said.

I do think it's hilarious that the only reason Chao is in Trump's cabinet is payback from Trump because McConnell refused to allow Obama to release the information about Russian hacking before the election.

To me, McConnell insuring Trump could name a Supreme Court Justice, which he did was what Trump owes him for.

Let me see... Isn't he one of the reporters who brought the Watergate scandal into the light?
Didn't Nixon have to resign as President or be the 1st President to be IMPEACHED.
I don't think he is biased he just follows the lead where ever it takes him.

When are you going to get tired of Trump blaming everyone else for everything? When are you going to realize it's not Obama, not Hillary, not Soros, not the media, not the liberals, not the Democrats, not the RINOS? We didn't have "fake news" until we had a fake president toddler brat who has melt down temper tantrums when he isn't constantly praised.

The cartoons, the lack of any discourse or any facts DOES in fact show degeneration of the mind.
A sane mind has discussion...the degenerate simply posts cartoon and blabbers on about his fellow americans who may or may not have a difference of opinion.
"A degenerate is a person who has declined, as in morals or character, from a type or standard considered normal. "
Urban Dictionary: degenerate (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=degenerate)
Lets see......sitting on a computer with no facts supporting someone for whom they do not even know why they support him, debasing anyone who is not white nor agrees with them.....THAT is not normal so I think you got it right, but as most times, you aimed incorrectly.

"It appears that public concern about ethics in the Trump administration is waning. One reason may be the sheer volume of controversy generated by the White House.
Kathleen Clark, a professor of law and ethics, suggests a second reason.
"We have become desensitized," she told NPR. "We're so used to Trump conflicts of interest and abuse of office, that when he promotes his vineyard and lies about it, it's just a blip."
There are many blips."
With Trump White House, Are Ethics Issues Becoming Just Part Of The Scenery? : NPR (http://www.npr.org/2017/08/25/545907553/with-trump-white-house-are-ethics-issues-becoming-just-part-of-the-scenery)
""Remember, every president since the enactment of the Ethics in Government Act in the '70s has divested conflicting assets," Shaub said in an interview.
Instead, Trump has moved his businesses to a revocable trust, of which he is the sole beneficiary, and his properties haven't disappeared from the picture. At his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida and Bedminster golf club in New Jersey, Trump likes to pose for snapshots with members and guests. As the Washington Post reported this month, his hotel in Washington, D.C., a few blocks from the White House, has become a de facto — and premium-priced — gathering spot for the administration, its allies and backers."
