Just noticed my new Comcast account number - the old one was 13 digits (enough for every person in the World to have 1,200 accounts) whereas the new one is 16 digits (enough for every person in the World to have over one million accounts).

The more digits, the greater the chance of mis-entering your account number, but I guess customer convenience has never been high on Comcast's list of priorities.

I have never had to enter my Comcast account number anywhere.

That is good - let us hope it stays that way for you

They all cost the same. It's like they had a meeting and said "let's set this as the price. You can go a dollar or two cheaper, but that's it"

If they are all buying the same products - the TV channels that they sell further on to you - then they are all probably paying similar prices.

Why wouldn't you expect their prices to you to be similar?

I was on basic internet - $19.99 per month - and they have just put it up to $49.99 per month.

Normally when I call I get another deal (I always have to speak to at least three different people trying to sell me upgrade packages en route) but this time they said they had no internet-only offers so I closed the account.

Be prepared for a flurry of mail solicitations from them offering you internet for just $19.95

That's what I'm hoping for :-)

I'm not back in TV for a couple of months so no need for internet until then anyway

and if not, we'll give CenturyLink another chance

Not sure what this post is even about? Just had Comcast & Xfinity installed (a bit of a hassle getting that done) but like the quality and love the new Xfinity equipment. Don't care how lone my account number is but yes 4 digits would be awesome LOL
