If you know how to get to Ace Hardware over at Southern Trace Plaza continue past Ace hardware without turning into the plaza. You'll go past the main branch of Citizen First and at the end of that road take a left behind the Shell Station. I believe the name of the road you're taking a left on is Southern Trace. Go through the gate follow that road to the end and you'll be where theSadlebrook tunnel is only on the other side of Buena Vista.

" to Glenview from south of 466A "

Just like before except don't turn right on Winthrop Terr. to go thru Winifred. Instead go straight and thru the tunnel to the other side of B.V. Continue to Parr Drive. At the end of Parr turn right and go thru the tunnel under 466. Now turn right on Wedgewood, go to Southern Trace Gate. At the end of Southern Trace is B.V. again. Go north.

When at Glenview.... go into pro shop and buy the $5.00 map for $4.50 with resident 10% discount. Good luck.:ho:

South of 466A to Glenview give yourself at least 45 - 60 minutes in a golf cart depending where you start from south of 466A. If playing golf, I would seriously consider taking my car and getting a cart when I got there. To each his/her own.

This is one of those times that you should drive your car if you can.

It won't be long until that tunnel is fixed. We went by there and it looks interesting. MAYBE my really long four seater will be able to make the turn easier after it is done.

I have taken this detour several times. My best guess it add about 7 - 10 minutes depending on traffic.

I'd have to agree that it's not a huge detour, maybe 10 minutes additional from Laurel Manor.

And if you're going up to Glenview, once you go through the tunnel at Southern Trace, you can also go up through Summerhill, take the Addison path up into Glenbrook and either go over to Buena Vista that way, or left on Talley Ridge to Shorewood to Mundelein and the rec path over to Glenview.....

I made it from the area of Lake Deaton postal station to El Santiago Golf Course in 48 minutes. That was taking BV to Belvedere to go under 466. Not a bad ride at all.

I played Glenview on Tuesday, it took about 40 minutes from Tamarind Grove. Normally it would of taken about 30 minutes and my cart only does 20mph.
