I think they changed the cameras at the squares. They zoomed them in closer. They aren't clear any longer and you can't see as much. I liked them they way they were before. Maybe they will switch them back....😊

Whenever I'm away and get homesick I like to check out the Sumter Landing camera. The new close-up view sucks -- unless you love palm trees.

Are these the ones that are too close?

Nice link, never knew there was a way to view all squares, thank you for posting. I like the mouse over zoom on Brownwood camera.

Nice link, never knew there was a way to view all squares, thank you for posting. I like the mouse over zoom on Brownwood camera.

If you right click your mouse on the Brownwood image and hit 'open link in new tab' that image will open and will fill the screen with just Brownwood.

As far as the cameras, the last change they made was they zoomed in the Brownwood camera and cropped off the edge of the stands, but that was done about a year ago. Otherwise those cameras haven't changed in about 3 years. The SS camera was widen about that time to include more of the square and the Sharon. They did install digital cameras about a year and half ago to enhance the pictures at all the squares. That was done just before they redid The Villages website and made the images fill up the page, the old cameras would of been too fuzzy that large.

The 3 on 1 website is by a Villager from Switzerland who has homes in both places and made that site so he could see the squares when back in Europe. It's been up for at least five years, that when I discovered it. There use to be a webmaster link he would have so you can send him a message if necessary. About 3 years ago when the camera angle had changed at SS he didn't catch it for about a month and that image wasn't available on his site. I sent him a message and he thanked me and corrected the problem, but I don't see the webmaster link anymore.

I don't see any changes. Could you please give the website you are using.

Compared to the webcams BS posted, the webcams on thevillages.com are zoomed in somewhat compared to what they were. Sumter Landing and Brownwood more so than Spanish Springs.

If the one or more of the cameras don't come up, try refreshing. I've heard there is a limit of 500 viewers per camera, so some may come up and others don't. Usually this happens after 5pm when the bands are playing.

I just checked out the 3 on 1 website...very interesting. stockers.ch/thevillages. Then I looked at the weather forecast and temperature on the left corner of the homepage...29 degrees! Then I realized that was in Celcius since that is what most of the world outside of the U.S. uses for temperature measurement.

Sorry for the confusion. I meant my question for Happinow, the OP.
"What website are you using, that makes the images unclear?"

The cameras on the squares DO appear to be zoomed in somewhat from the last time I looked at them.

The Spanish Springs camera formerly showed the street down the entire right side of the picture. You could see vehicles entering the square on Main Street and driving 1/4 of the way around the square. No more.

While the view of the cameras provided by that stockers.ch site is nice, I do wonder what a website with a Switzerland domain is doing providing that. Personally, I'd stick to sites run by The Villages.

I'm the owner and webmaster of stockers.ch/thevillages (http://www.stockers.ch/thevillages). I set up this website for Swiss friends who own a house in TV. So they and I (knowing TV only from holidays) have all the interesting info about TV on one page, when we are in Switzerland (... at work).

My late wife and I spent a couple of weeks in Switzerland a few years ago and loved it. Rented a car and drove all over, with an emphasis on the German side.

Dining at the Piz Gloria on the Schilthorn was a lot of fun. At Interlachen we had a room in a Bed and Breakfast (Goldie) with floor to ceiling windows with a view of the mountains. The trip was an unforgettable experience.

I'm on the villages.com. I have been using this site to view the cameras for the past 5 years. It appears that they have zoomed the camera in closer which has made the picture blurry. Before I was getting a wide view of the dance floor and surrounding area but not now.
