Most places I have heard about in Ocala are charging a 30-50 fee to watch it,, then add your food and drink cost. Might as well get it on pay per view.

Before PPV the only way to see an Ali-Frazier or Ali-Foreman fight was at a public venue that broadcast it. The excitement of the crowd added to the viewing experience.

I am not an investment counselor, but I did sleep on a park bench that was near a Holiday Inn Express this month. Let me put it this way....if you spent the money to buy the eclipse glasses and were disappointed, let that be a lesson to you.

Is this on Showtime? Or is it Showtime on Demand where you pay $99.99 to see it?

Have not been much into boxing even when my parents played bridge with professional boxing referee Mills Lane. This was before he was doing this boxing officiating and was just a prosecutor.

I had a lot of telephone call and letters with him when was trying to figure out what to do with the Mitchells as he was one of the prosecutors in the case(s) against the alleged murderers of their daughter Michelle.

Mills Lane was the referee in the ear biting bout between Tyson and Holyfield. Evander Holyfield vs. Mike Tyson II - Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evander_Holyfield_vs._Mike_Tyson_II)

If you have Directv you don't need Showtime, you just need $99.95, I received an email this morning.

Or maybe it's the biggest combat sport contest in history..

I am going to guess that it will be a very short fight. With Mayweather making quick work of the Irish MMA fighter.

It use to be $50 to watch a PPV event. Even that was too much. Now they want $100 for a PPV? No freaking way. I hope they loose money on this one. May be it will bring them back down to earth. A lot more people would be willing to pay $20 - $30. Same thing with XM Sirius Radio.

Floyd is 40 and he HAS to fight. The IRS is bringing him out of retirement and back in the ring. Conner in 3
:1rotfl:

I think the only chance Conor has is to get in a couple of hard, lucky shots...in the 1st round.

If that doesn't happen, Floyd will use him like a heavy bag...and put him away when he starts feeling winded.

But, I ain't paying that kind of money to watch...what I predict to be a snoozer.

They need to pay me $100 to watch it. But that is less than my fee to watch baseball, basketball, or hockey.

And I hope all who buy PPV are prepared to stay up and watch this show which I hear is scheduled to start after midnight.

We will be watching the fight at a friends house. Lucky us and I am very excited. Love a good boxing match. We will be cheering for McGreggor but betting on Mayweather! This will be strange!

Does McGregor know enough Spanish to say "No mas?"

Mayweather will smack the mouth off McGregor. Signed, Sealed Over & Out By Round Three. McGregor will be home for breakfast. Eating it through a straw.

Darn I should have bet you on that. TKO on the 10th round. We ended up winning money as everyone had bet on McGregor.

By the way it was a pathetic fight. Boxing is not what it use to be back in our day.

I agree about boxing not being what it was when we were younger. We went to the amatuer ring closed to our house. Father, sons and even my grandfather when he could make it.

I was a great sports bettor for the first ten years of my gambling career. Then one day as if God has thrown a switch my Sports bets turned to Mush. When there is no money on my pick my selection is much better. I cut down on gambling about 20 years ago. It makes watching sports a lot more fun. Once a year to a casino for a little Blackjack with Adult Supervision. Fun bets with the kids on The Superbowl and World Series.

If you want to watch the complete fight, here's a link. It was more competitive than I thought, 10 rounds but in the end Mayweather waited for when he had McGregor in trouble and poured it on. McGregor didn't have the stamina to go the distance.

Conor is an amazing athlete, Did anyone think Conor would last 10 rounds? I didnt !! According to some cards he won the first 4 or 5 rounds. My son fought professional MMA and now is a instructor. it is true combat sport

I would bet my house that No Boxer would ever challenge Conor in a MMA bout, they could not last one round with a average fighter

This was just a money making entertainment for both fighters not true competition.

God bless America
