Words are magical and powerful tools that create images for better understanding. The English language can be complicated for a number of reason one of which is that a word can carry more than one meaning. For instance

"class"

A course of instructions (History class)

Students meeting for that course of instruction (in class)

a social status (political class)

a quality( classy lady)

a hierarchical achievement( best in)

Your turn and using a dictionary is not cheating:D

Very good - a fine wine

Delicate or subtle - fine china

A sum of money paid to settle a matter - paying a fine for overdue library books

bark

outer part of a tree

something a dog does

to knock a part of the body on something (he barked his shin on the gate post)

to utter something abruptly or speak sharply (bark a command; he barked at me for entering his private office)

misdirect one's energies (bark up the wrong tree)
