How did you fare in the storm?

We are in Mallory and have no damage at all with no accumulation of water in the street in front of our house. I estimate it will take about 5-10 minutes to rake up leaves on the property. We never lost power....not even a blip. I have no blinking clocks in the house.

Hope you are all safe and got through the storm OK.

We just bought a house in Spanish Springs in the Rio Ponderosa area, but haven't moved in yet. . Waiting to get a report from our neighbor, who left to stay in a Villa.

Does anybody know how that area did? I have some huge Oak trees on my property that I'm worried about.

Thanks,
Bud

We lost power at 1:15 AM in Silver Lake on the historic side.

Someone on another thread said power was lost in Silver Lake.
I'm concerned about our neighbors on the Historical side, how did the mobile homes survive?

We live in Buttonwood --all is well here No visible damage to any homes in immediate area ---There is a 150 ft Oak tree down on the golf course ---Thankfully it fell away from the homes but it will take a good shot to make it to the green.

Remember to say Thank You !!

Where ever there are the majestic oaks there will be substantial debris and small branches and in general a mess.

The ones in our village are good examples of major debris field.

Branches across RAiney Trail blocking traffic in one direction.
One lane blocked on CR 117.

For the most part we/TV have been insignificantly affected VS what it could have been.

We all need to be thankful this morning!

Just heard from my daughter in Rio Ponderosa. They have no power and there are many branches down. I advised her not to go out till everything settles down

Our retention pond is practically in our lanai. It was a scary long night watching it rise. I hope someone has measurements of how much rain we had. Needless to say our rain gauge overflowed. I know we had 8 inches but obviously it was more.

In Pinellas Cedar Grove.....we are a small circle and 7 of our houses had roof damage and shingle loss. We did have power all night which was a blessing while listening to the roofing fly off! The golf courses in our area are pretty much completely under water but the streets were fine! Greenery was all fine and just a few screens with damage from the shingles flying.

As I read all the posts about TV today...........the good, the bad, the ugly: I think we are all Blessed. No loss of life. No major injuries. The sun came up today (not fully in sight) and we live in the most beautiful place in the world.

A lot to be thankful for.

Lots of good neighbors helping each other.

Blessed.

Reading all of the posts. All things considered it seems like for the most part no significant damage in most areas and no major injuries reported. Very thankful, could have been a lot worse. Haven't heard from our village of Osceola Hills so hoping same report for our home away from home. Take care all!

This thread is a good example of reverse adverse selection. If you haven't lost power, you can post the good news. But, if you have no power, you probably cannot post the bad news. So, you get mostly good news on the thread.

Here in Sanibel our house did well. Just some screen from the pool cage broke loose at the bottom and ripped about 3 ". Will replace it. Our neighbors on either side......one had a limb break off a tree and the other had an oak uproot. Lots of debris from the golf course palms all over. I consider myself very lucky. It's good to see the sun shine!!

I saw photos on social media of some of the golf courses with water on the fairways yesterday. It appeared much of the water was from the ponds on the course. Given the amount of rain that should be expected. :D
