Does anyone have experience with a vacation home exchange or belong to an agency who coordinates this? What are the fees, mandatory regs needed in your home, terms and conditions, etc ? Which agency is regarded as the "best", easiest to work with, lowest fees, reaches the largest audience, etc ?
It would be great to hear from someone with direct experience. Good experience, bad experience, would you do it again, still doing it ? Is there still a vacation Home Exchange Club in the Villages?
Thanking you in advance for your interest and help.
Ron

We use housesitters.com. A1. People come with past recommendations and police checks, most retired couples looking fora vacation and will watch your home and pets.

We have had a good experience with homexchange.com. We
did 5 exchanges 2 years ago to Australia & NZ. We asked for no children. All our exchanges were with professional people.
U can view their web site as a guest but it costs a modest $125 for yearly membership to communicate with participants. We know 2 couples who have each done close to 50 exchanges over many years & have had no problems. Usually a car is exchanged. Just submitting your info on the web site is not sufficient. I picked out locations where we wanted to stay & communicated directly. U have to start months in advance to coordinate both parties schedule.

Been using home exchange.com for about 15 years. Wonderful experience. Never had a problem or a bad exchange. Many of our exchange partners have beecome friends and we stay in communications with many of them.
