Went to menu bar to pull down TOTV. Get a blank screen with a tiny box in the upper left corner. Even happens when I type in TOTV. Found an old thread and was able to get on that way. Any idea what is happening?

Hey guys - had a similar experience. I had a blank screen come up (I tried it several times) Next, I did an engine search and clicked on several of the TOTV listings - only to have the same white screen appear (bottom left had corner of my computer says DONE). I go in by clicking on a private message, sent to me yesterday, went to my name on TV (Opulence) then clicked on New Posts - it took a long time for this to come up, but it finally did. Just wanted you to know. I need my morning TOTV fix, so I hope you can find the cause & have it corrected real soon.

Yes, I also had a problem getting to TOTV this morning. I got a white screen (bottom left had corner of my computer says DONE). I finally got into TOTV by selecting a link from yesterday and bypassing the main screen.

I still can't get in to TOLV, I think I will do a systems restore to yesterday and see if that works. Thanks for the idea Niels! I'll let you know if it works.

I just got on 10:30AM without any problems. Perhaps the Gremlins are taking a coffee break.

Same thing happened to me just now (11:00 am). I used an order link to connect with TOTV.

I didn't have any problems last time nor this time. I'm kinda feeling left out. Whatsup with that?:shrug:

Just did a restore to yesterday and am having the same white screen problem. Still getting on with an old thread. Hope the admins are working on it. Glad it's just not me!

It's now 12 Noon and I still can't get on TOTV :shrug: I first tried at 8:45 AM.
I did a System Restore three times, all the way back to Sunday 9/27 and that didn't work. I ran my Malware scanner (full scan) and I have no virus.
I don't know what the problem is.

The only way I can access TOTV is how I described it earlier.

Let me look into this. I think I know what it is. If I am right, I will explain, or Jan or Darrell will.

Here is a way around this type of problem, which could a DNS problem. DNS in essence is an internet traffic cop.

If you tell that cop you want to go to
https://www.talkofthevillages.com
sometimes he just might stare at you blankly.

Tell him instead you want to go to
https://www.talkofthevillages.com/forums/index.php
and he will say, "Right this way."

Translation. Make sure your bookmark, or favorite or what ever your shortcut is called contains
https://www.talkofthevillages.com/forums/index.php

It may help.

Maybe the traffic cop was an English major.

I wonder why "https://www.talkofthevillages.com" worked for me all of this time and suddendly it went "dah" when I clicked on the link? No matter, it works now and that's what counts. Appreciate your reply and solution.
I'm sure it will work for the others who have experienced this as well.

And something really wierd happend when I went to reply to you - I got a notices saying I my message was too short and I needed one more diget to reply - what in the world is up with that? I don't recall what I did, but I copied my message and posted it a different way - couldn't just reply to you.

My regular link to TOTV is working fine now. Whatever technical ditty needed to be adjusted, it has been taken care of. Thanks Tony, Darrel and Jan. Thanks for your patience with us too, we seem to freak out when we can't get to TOTV. What a great place . . . .
