Maybe I missed any earlier posts, but does anyone know which tunnels are flooded out?

This morning, the tunnel near Havana was still closed. However, I rode to Saddlebrook rec center (from the south) and no other tunnels were closed except for Saddlebrook.

The one on the west side of Buena Vista near Eisenhower has water within a foot of the top of the tunnel. It will be a long time before it drains. The two on the east side near Brownwood are clear.

It is worse than flooding. A wall has collapsed on the Wal-Mart side of the tunnel. Repairs will likely take at least a few days.

The tunnel from Buena Vista to Pinellas had about a foot of water in it at 4 this afternoon. The tunnel to Evan's Prairie golf course from Buena Vista was also flooded.
The tunnel on Buena Vista at Lake Miona Rec Center was flooded, but is now clear. I could get from just north of Lake Sumter Landing to Brownwood on Buena Vista, using the east side paths when close to Brownwood.

Can I get from Palmer CC to Belevedere in a cart. I was over there 2 days ago and the tunnel under Buena Vista was flooded. Has the water receded?

Not trying to shoot my mouth off, just correcting erroneous posted information.
The tunnel near Palmer CC that goes over to the Bridgeport Rec Center, under Buena Vista Blvd, has not been and is not closed.

That is true but the next one north of that is closed with 8 - 10 inches of water. There is a stop sign and cones at the entrance.

You can go to thevillages.net and look for vCDD (community development districts) and find the info you seek. I get regular email notifications updating tunnel closures, debris pickup, recovery effort status, and during normal times it tells you when Rec centers, etc. are going to be closed. You need to know which is your district. Here in Lake Deaton, we are 10.

From Belvedere area, you can go up to Parr drive and take that tunnel under Buena Vista over towards Laurel Manor then cut through Winifred neighborhood and pop back out onto BV trail just south of the closed tunnel to head down towards Sumter. I Did this yesterday.
Also, the tunnel near Lake Miona Rec Center is open...went through it earlier today. It was on the CDD closed list today.

Not trying to stir up anything, just an observation. It is odd that, other than the tunnel by Wal-Maet, all the tunnels closed are south of 466?

Save your confederate money. The south will rise again;)...or fall again.
You are a good person Mleeja. Wonder why that is?

If that is the case, how do we get up to date information if we can't depend on TV CDD website?

Clean? Maybe, just maybe they will have time to come back and power wash the walls.
Gosh, I never evaluated the cleanliness of the tunnels in the past.
