Lawn car full of dirt

How do we dispose of soil removed to make room for a tree root ball? I reused some soil but still have a lawncart full. Appreciate a solution. I can move cart but not too far

I have just spread the dirt over the rest of the lawn. I got rid of 8 5 gallon buckets that way a few weeks ago.

Just about every time I dig a hole to make room for a new planting I find I need more dirt than I took out to backfill it. I don't get it.
