I've had 4 different yamaha golf carts over 15 yrs and have never paid over $75 a year for a policy. I have a separate policy with Progressive Ins. apart from my homeowers ins. I just purchased a new 2018 Yamaha quiet tech cart and my policy almost doubled to $140 yr. I was just wondering what others were paying? thx.

It has to do with how much the cart is worth. The carts are costing more, the insurance cost more.

My quote for a 2017 Yamaha was about the same as your 18. One thing I added over prior cart was uninsured motorist coverage..that added quite a bit to the premium. I didn't know or understand before that this is an important coverage...in case you get hit by an uninsured cart or car. My prior 15 Yamaha was about $100/year without uninsured coverage. Foremost insurance through Villages Insurance.

Mine went up too, with State Farm. Their explanation: The Villages has gotten bigger; higher risk factor.

Watch the nightly news, every 5 minutes we hear how much the attorney got them. The civil suites are crazy.

Was that your quote for all 4 carts including the rental coverage?

I have two carts for rentals (2006 and 2008) and am waiting on a quote to be sent to me to upgrade to include rental coverage. Think I was paying about $65 or $70 each cart before.
