View Full Version : Republican Party Done

The Republican Party is toast. With 47% of voters not paying federal income taxes, not to be confused with payroll taxes, Republicans have for years tried to outspend democrats and abandoned any sense of fiscal responsibility. A significant percentage of Trump supports are confused about what is up and what is down. Watching the debate on healthcare I'm embarrassed for them. Republicans have fully supported a complete disconnect between revenue and spending for years, passing every spending bill put in front of them fearing the next election. Pointing to Obama as the cause should be an insult to anyone with average intelligence. Fortunately for baby boomers and politicians Generation X and Milliniums don't seem to care but that will not be enough to save Republicans. IMHO

To say nothing of the costly, deadly, and never ending wars the GOP has created (Reagan, Bush Sr., GW Bush) to support their corporate sponsors. And they continue to sell the snake oil economic theory called "Trickle Down," promising their cultish followers that giving tax cuts to the rich will create jobs. The only thing it creates is more wealth for the 1% and a widening economic gap. Under the leadership of Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan, they have had only one interest, and that is providing for the rich so that they can get campaign contributions that allows them to have political victories. And the Supreme Court, packed with GOP supporters, has aided them in this quest with the decision known as Citizens United, which gives corporations the same rights as people when it comes to campaign contributions.

It's not surprising that there are so many families on welfare in Owsley County, when you consider that Obama's policies cost so many coal miners their jobs.
It's also not surprising that they vote heavily for Republicans, especially when you consider that Democrats have done nothing but work to eliminate their jobs.

Bullsh!t...it's a county of less than 5,000 and:
"Persons in poverty, percent 42.4%"
U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts selected: Owsley County, Kentucky (https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/owsleycountykentucky/PST040216)
FAR less than 98% black places.
"poverty rate 37.9%"
Data USA | Owsley County, KY (https://datausa.io/profile/geo/owsley-county-ky/)
"37.9% of Owsley County residents live in poverty. "
Owsley County Demographics - Census Data for Owsley County, KY (https://www.kentucky-demographics.com/owsley-county-demographics)
How about crime...let's look at that:
" Crime in 2005 (reported by the sheriff's office or county police, not the county total):
Murders: 0
Rapes: 0
Robberies: 1
Assaults: 1
Burglaries: 16
Thefts: 16
Auto thefts: 3
Pretty tame to me...want to compare it to W or S Chicago? Detroit? E St Louis? Memphis? Or ANY other 98% BLACK place.
E St Louis:
"Estimated per capita income in 2015: $12,497 (it was $11,169 in 2000)
That's lower than the white county.
Not quite 98% black:
http://pics.city-data.com/craces2/6826.jpg
"City-data.com crime index 2183.3 (higher means more crime, U.S. average = 289.6)
WAY more violent and crime ridden.
East St. Louis, Illinois (IL 62205) profile: population, maps, real estate, averages, homes, statistics, relocation, travel, jobs, hospitals, schools, crime, moving, houses, news, sex offenders (http://www.city-data.com/city/East-St.-Louis-Illinois.html)
Face it...you LOSE again...you're full of sh!t...again boyer. You CAN'T win...because you're wrong.

Actually, its the mechanization of mining and the increased use of Natural Gas in electrical power plants that eliminated coal mining jobs......BIG REPUBLICAN DONORS are the owners of those coal mines and gas reserves.....

According to an analysis that excludes pensions and social security, the richest 1% of the American population in 2007 owned 34.6% of the country's total wealth, and the next 19% owned 50.5%. Thus, the top 20% of Americans owned 85% of the country's wealth and the bottom 80% of the population owned 15%. The wealthiest stash their cash overseas, blasting that "trickle down" theory. If not for the "trickle down" of economics, you would not be on here. We have the best middle class lifestyle in the world. Even our lower class that some call poverty level, live as well as many countries' middle class. Before arguing that point, better do some research. It's true and some of us that have lived overseas know it to be true and not just propaganda.
And wealth envy is very unbecoming. Anyone can be as wealthy as they wish, if they have the motivation.

And THEY call the shots.
Do you REALLY think they take a chance with all that they own/control by the roll of a presidential dice toss? They OWN EVERY presidential candidate fielded by the D or R party.

Welfare can pay the equivalent of $60,000 a year. While 3rd world poor pick through the garbage dump for a meal.
Coming to America within 30 years.
NO country has EVER survived going from white majority/control to black/Hispanic minority/control.
Watch the sanctuary cities...they are America's future. That's what happens when minorities become the majority and vote in "their guys".
I can't think of a sanctuary city that is doing very well.
