Billions in taxpayer money built those stadiums. First they get God out, then the Pledge, now they are working on the Flag, Anthem and Statues of American Political Heroes. . Finally, once those are gone, they work on demeaning the American Heroes whose statues are gone and finally the good work of those American Heroes, the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. The slope is very slippery. They are out to destroy this Country and the White Race. The players are just a bunch of stupid pawns.

The NFL, NBA and Hollywood are primarily populated with narcissistic individuals many of whom show their disdain for America and none of who deserve the attention they are receiving from the public.

It begs the question if these people are so savvy then why would you do something so politically stupid that you offend half your fan base?

Here's the thing about what's going on here. No one wants to deny these guys expressing their opinion or their right to free speech. But how many of you, back when we were working, would have been allowed to publicly protest or express political opinions while on the clock?

Football and state worship...The movie Idiocracy is an American documentary.
Pretty disgusting when military monkeys run out on the field with the players.

Except for the casting...the future of America is dark...black and brown...few whites. That is WHY it BECOMES an "idiocracy".

White people didn't become stupid...they got bred out by the stupid...the brown people who DO think "it's what plants crave"...because the advertisers told them so.

Nobody would watch the movie if it was an all black cast...blacks would have had a fit if the cast was all black. So...they took our REAL future, made the people white, and turned it into a comedy.

Whether they are taking a knee to protest police treatment of black Americans or to express solidarity with their teammates' decision to do so, the hundreds of NFL players now under scrutiny represent a long-standing American tradition of social justice activism among athletes, which is itself an embodiment of patriotism.

Personal Best Regards: Well, there's the Hollywood game show host you elected, who offends 75% of Americans every day. Golfing and tweeting insults to Puerto Ricans today, too many to count last week.

Back in 2009 (and actually a bit in 2012) when in this very forum, I confronted a member of the Tea Party on her groups desecration of the flag (flying it upside down, refusing to do anything at anthem, burying it in the ground, replacing it with "don't tread on me") etc, she said the same thing to me about the desecration being done, some here in The Villages actually.

On the old political forum, people actually engaged in conversation and I recall wondering about the disrespect for the flag, in addition to the burning in effigy of a newly elected President, WELL BEFORE HE WAS EVEN INNAUGRATED. So I asked her and she felt strongly she was correct in supporting such actions.

That is what surprised me with the reaction in this, and to me anyway, shows the Trump followers in full form....totally hypocritical in fact, as is he. BUT he knows calling this out and making it an issue surely detracts any attention from what is actually going on.

We are heading into some very dangerous waters in this country.

Our President has no intention of ever trying to make us one America. He is, and has been sowing the seeds of discontent, based on race, ethnicity and religion.

He has the ear of people who don't care what it brings (I sometimes think they are childless or grand children deprived because he and they are sealing the doom of what was a great country, not perfect but one with ideals. They gladly ignore facts, and seriously refer to it as fake news.

This is a white nationalist movement, even to the point of lack of empathy to Puertic Rico full of American citizens who gladly fight in our military.

Someday, it will be serious enough to get the attention of people who refuse to even approach a discussion in issues...they just ignore it.

It will be too late then, I am afraid. Trump is sowing fear and hate, wrapped in our flag, which is the most disgraceful attack on that flag.

So, now you blame the President for this display of disrespect for our Flag? You have to be kidding. That is the most stupid response in America. How you came up with such a ludicrous announcement is beyond anyone's comprehension. The President had NOTHING to do with this ignorant protest, that even the head bangers can't understand. They do not even have a clue that they are only supporting BLM and their domestic terrorism. Even they are too naive and stupid to know any better. But, I would suspect that you have no such excuse.

Your statement is stupid, period.

You are so intently stupid.

The desecration of the flag, in recent history was begun by the Tea Party...a group Trump has endorsed. That desecration and effigy hanging received kudos of a sort on this very forum.

Up until Trump, the "protest" was a big nothing, but he knows what he is doing. He is giving idiots like you something to rail in and keep the heat elsewhere. He has done this over and over.

Nobody...NOBODY endorses the protests, but Trump has blown it into a huge thing and you neophytes simply follow along like little sheep.

You response simply magnifies the incredible shallow thinking. Anyone who is sick of Trump using people like you, or sick of him wrapping hate in the flag instead of addressing the issues behind it is attacked as if we agree with the demonstration. I don't, and most people do not, but with all that is going on in the world, he is using you and manipulating you.

There is no legislation even on the horizon..nothing. Our budget is a mess, our spending out of control...we find out today that we have given North Korea what they want..recognition as we signaled that we WILL talk and negotiate, which at this point they have refused...health care is falling apart, and Trump believe it or not is helping insure that costs go up even more (read up on what he is doing with the states.

With all of that, he continues to drive a wedge between all of us..always based on race, religion or ethnicity.

If there is anyone desecrating American it is he. The swamp he so violently said he would drain has increased greatly, his family are using private servers in the WH (recall how bad that was said to be)..he spends time amusing folks in the White House mocking McCain and his crippled arm..he continues to lie, and is attacking PERSONALLY someone who is out wading in water distributing food.

Sorry....all of what he does is PERSONAL, based on race, religion and/or ethnicity...NOT legislation to run the country. He refuses to even attempt to bring people together, and in fact continues to campaign instead of governing.

Nothing ludicrous about what I am saying. It is all there, and if you respond, do not, as you just did put words in my mouth.

When the Tea Party used the flag and desecrated it totally, it was fine with Trump, and most posters on TOTV. The hypocrisy is staggering.

I oppose the demonstrations, but Trumps game plan is to divide. This is what he does. Obviously, you don't read his comments in the NFL when OBama was President....basically, get back to work and forget the NFL (issue then was the Redskins)....this is simply another way to get you slobbering over him wrapping himself, in an extremely phoney way, in the flag. All while he tears the country apart.

You are part of a white nationalist movement where race, religion and ethnicity are the measurements of people. What is more unamerican than that ?

Considering the fact that the NFL is receiving billions of taxpayer dollars via the U.S. government in subsidies and exemption from fair trade, it would behoove them to walk a bit softer when confrontation with the President. It would not take much for our leaders to cut those billionaires off of the gov. teat.

You make a valid point, but in my opinion for the wrong reasons, and if ever that debate could take place outside it being used as a ploy, I may be open to that.

Not now however.

This entire business is phoney, false patriotism. It is an attempt to rile up people and insure it leans on patriotism...however....

The Tea Party in 2009 and 2012 desecrated our flag terribly, and our President supported it. This did not begin with the NFL.

You will need to take my word, but I was upset about the beginning of this in the pre season. Even though I remember the Olympic Games back a number of years with the raising of fists to protest, and the Tea Party burying our flag, flying it upside down, and in a few cases ceremoniously burying it.

Tea Party was demonstrating the election of OBama and in fact burned him in effigy before he was sworn in the second time.

The flag protest, because of Trump interjecting into this is spreading now to Major League Baseball.

I suggest it is on purpose. He has been quoted as saying he wants to bring social change, and the rest of his "job" bores him.

This from a person who grew up in a Klu Klux Klan family, was and is the single largest violated of housing laws, once paid 10 grand to call some young black teens guilty in the NY paper, for five years promulgated lies about a black president because he was black, and if you wish I can supply much more factual data on his racist background.

There is an objective here....he has made not one move to unite this country, and everything he says is divisive. He attacked the mayor of London, while that mayor was coping with a terrorist attack...he attacked a mayor in Puerto Rico while that mayor was literally wading in water chest high delivering supplies.

So, if you wish to be a part of his undermining of all things American, while telling you he is for America...such as he did with his con of Trump Univ, such as his scheme with a foundation using his name for charity when in actuality he was cleaning money for himself.

Your issue is valid, but not under these conditions.

I am watching our country being torn apart by race, religion and ethnicity. That takes precedence in our White House, down to his entertains people mocking Sen McCain and his handicap which was received defending our country, and serving as a POW, even though our President even mocked that.

Yourpoint is well taken, but what causes your bringing it up is not something I find anything but dirty.

Nobody wants to discuss the Tea Party desecration if our flag, and while I cannot read anyone's heart, it appears to be because they are and were white.

That kind of stuff is about as un American as anyone can get.

Address the issue causing the protest.....stop making the protestors the bad guys because you are tone deaf.

What...are you kidding? The politicians get a cut...HOW do you think the owners GOT the public to pay for their $ billion stadium? They all work together...for profit.
