When are you moving?

Nah. I will stay here. I don't drink anymore. I was never any good at it. AND I found my lost shaker of salt.

Me too. The Villages will be my last permanent home.

We're not going. It would just be a "faux" copy of The Villages. Most likely mucho more expensive. We've been to the Margaritaville Resort on Hollywood Beach. Very nice & very pricey. I think after Irma many people opting out of coastal living & insurance rates going way high on the coast.

There is a Margaritaville in Orlando being developed in Kissimmee. It's a resort lifestyle, not a retirement development. Margaritaville (https://www.margaritavilleresortorlando.com/#)

I'm sure we will drive thru there on one of our trips outside 'The Res'. Always good to get some perspective. But I'm just as sure that we aren't moving away from The V. Quite likely Margaritavilke is going to be a mucho pricey copy of The V. We've been to several Margaritavilles, including the resort on Hollywood Beach. Very nice, but very expensive. I would bet that many people have lost interest since Irma. Homeowners insurance for coastal living is going to be exorbitant. We moved from Hollywood, FL area to here. I was born & raised in S Fl, & experienced too many hurricanes to count. Too much work, worry & expense. A frog.

The charm of living in Daytona Beach is......... THE BEACH. And this development is not on the beach.

It is inland.

There is a shuttle bus to the postage stamp spot of land that they have on the beach, but the spot is not nearby.

And Daytona Beach is much more vulnerable to hurricanes than The Villages. A hurricane last year did so much damage to my time share condo at oceanside that the repairs are not expected to be completed until almost a year after the storm hit. I'm still waiting to hear what damage Irma may have done.
