If you're so overflowing with virtue, YOU write the check.
If you can't do that then you're another screeching Femo-Fascist trying to spend other people's money.

. Republican States — the ones governed by folks who think government is too big and spending needs to be cut — are the real drain on the economy, taking in more federal spending than they pay out in federal taxes. Mellincf, just to tell you I appreciate your posts, simply because it is substantive, well documented and factual.
Never allow thes trolls who know nothing, post nothing but insults.....get you down. Despite some who routinely compliment their stupidity, they embarrass themselves with their posts.
I never believed that what was said about Trump supporters was true......they believe ALL he says, no matter what or how ludicrous it might be, they defend even lying from the oval office and misleading them, but the posts on here reflect that attitude which despite the MAGA logo, it is terribly unamerican. They do not even want the President to be honest or forthright and seem to appreciate his campaign attitude (even when in a disaster area), and his attacks on media, and any other who might hint at disagreeng with him.
I see posters who I "thought" were good americans who had character and ideals, who I felt stood for something and they obviously do not....the worship at the feet of Trump.
Thanks for your informative, well thought out posts.

And she's wrong. One state paying more...transferring more...to the federal government has nothing to do with the "state" or it's people. It's LOCATION. States with ports and port cities TRANSFER "import tax and tariff money" as a pass through. It's like owning property that happens to have gas/oil under it. You lucked out resource wise...coastal states "lucked out" with ports.
When it comes to actual "health of the state", the red states are doing much better. What usually makes a blue state...blue...is the HUGE minority majority urban population. A large city can cancel out the rest of the state.
Just like with the "news"...you are being MISinformed.

"Our favorite example is New Jersey. Just 51 years ago, the Garden State had neither an income tax nor a sales tax. It balanced its budget every year. It was one of the richest states and attracted in-migration from everywhere.
Eight years ago, when ultrablue Democrat Jon Corzine was governor, New Jersey had some of the highest tax rates in the nation and perpetual budget deficits. A new study by Pew Research ranked the state's public pension system as third worst in terms of its assets-to-liabilities ratio (42%)."
"The same is true of Connecticut. The Yankee State was once one of the most prosperous places on the planet, and until 1991 it had no income tax. Its other key attribute was its proximity to high-tax, anti-business New York. But over the last 25 years, Connecticut has been in a free-fall as it has raised its income tax four times, leading to towering deficits.
The joke now in Connecticut is: Will the last person in the state please turn out the lights? As Connecticut depopulates, there may come a time when one super-rich person is left living in a Greenwich mansion who is highly educated and with three patents to his name, and the Times can say: Look how prosperous and highly educated Connecticut is.
By the way, a 2014 poll found that 49% of Connecticut residents say they want to leave the state — second only to Illinois at 50%. The exodus is on: 156,057 people have left Connecticut since 1992, taking $9.5 billion in income with them. As people in Fort Lauderdale and Naples, Fla., will tell you, it seems like every third person here is from Connecticut."

The "blue" states are bankrupt...you CAN'T pay for everything for everyone. That is what liberals want to do.
