Excellent show last night at the Savannah Center. Lots of fun and a ton of sing-a-longs. If they come back, don't miss.

They were great; we were on the front row. According to the announcements before the show started, there are going to be some great groups coming in 2018.

You do know that none of the performers were actually The Grassroots. Those were all replacement guys.

It was a good show but $35 was steep to see Rocky then a singer from Orlando. I liked the show though.

That's not exactly a bad thing.....considering a couple of the originals died. Dusty, Larry and Joe have been with the band since the 80's. For me, it's about the music and as long as those delivering the songs are true to the originals it's all good.

Yes, we knew they were not the originals. Great show with original material sung and played on key was worth the $35 ea rather than an original who is 80 years old trying their heart out and past their time which is only sad.

It's impossible to get the original singer Rob Grill since he's dead, it's a shame since he lived so close in Mount Dora. He fell off the roof of his house and died soon after in 2011 from a head injury, he was 67. That's him with the mustache.

There is a lot of Grass Roots videos on Youtube.com, you can search them all the way through the 70's and then early 90's and they performed right up until about 2010. Rob Grill had a bad hip and his last couple of years he was on a lot of painkillers. There's one video, probably one of his last and you can tell he is on meds, slurring his words and he had to sit on stool throughout the show, but he still looked youthfull. I believed he still played bass up until about 2003, there's a couple of good videos from the era.
