What I do not and never will understand is, as we watch our country sink into a mud pit, and getting worse, how the support, even if low still exists.....how, on this forum, reasonably intelligent people will try to defend him.

AS one recent example....is the inclusion of Chad on the banned countries from the US. Chad has for years been a partner and a good one in fighting terrorism world wide, especially in sharing information. No one knows why. We are used to in this country to having our foreign policy explained just a little bit.

Established facts?!? Corker did not admit to anything - a lot of innuendo was about it. Now the reporter, on the other hand, did a lot of embellishing to make it sound like fact. Are we reading the same articles?? I'll repeat........I'm not saying that this may not be true, but I would need more evidence than what I've seen so far to be convinced. Just as I double-checked and tried to verify the stuff being said about our former President before drawing a conclusion, I will continue to do the same with this one. Are we reading the same articles?? I'll repeat........I'm not saying that this may not be true, but I would need more evidence than what I've seen so far to be convinced. Just as I double-checked and tried to verify the stuff being said about our former President before drawing a conclusion, I will continue to do the same with this one. It's not about being duped by someone as you suggested, or wanting to push an agenda, it's about caring about the truth - as much as that is possible not being on the inside.

Believe it or not, we do have some common ground. Regarding Trump, I do believe that his life thus far has shown lack of integrity. I'm not so naive or foolish as to think otherwise. I very much dislike that he spouts off at the mouth and at times does not think before he speaks/acts. What I do like is that he has surrounded himself with at least some people who I respect and that appear to have integrity. It is usually a good sign to me when a person is not afraid to hire people who are better than oneself - more capable. When I voted for Trump, I was voting for a successful businessman who wasn't afraid to face and speak out against the establishment. What I hope to get in time is someone who sees the value in integrity and honesty and pray that he might be on that path with his selection of VP and some cabinet members. I do believe in redemption........we shall see. All I know is that our country is more important than any one person and if we don't make an effort to stand together at some point, we are destined to fall.
