I find this fascinating! Richard Spencer was exercising his 2nd amendment right to FREE SPEECH when he went to Gainsville. The Governor, in hindsight, overreacted expecting a larger crowd of protesters...and even the new darling wiping boy of the right-wing ANIFA! There were protesters but they didn't riot, ANIFA wasn't there and I didn't hear about any Neo-Nazi's marching at UF. Did they march with their tiki torches again?

States like Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana...they may be "red" states...but they're FULL of poor blacks who receive welfare and don't produce. There are enough white people to keep the state "red"...but the proportion of black to white is very high and that increases the welfare and state aid needed.

The Northers states have high percentages of liberals in the cities who make the state "blue", but the people outside the cities are all "red". If you go by COUNTY and not state..the US is very "red"...at least for the next 30 years. After that...everything changes as whites become 20% of the population and Hispanics 51%.

Even small Midwestern towns are filling with Hispanics. They ARE the MAJORITY below age 7.

The south is also still mostly agrarian and not industrialized. There's more money in industry.

As usual...the difference is demographics. In the north, blacks are concentrated in the cities and do little damage outside their slums. In the south, a high black population is interspersed and does more damage.

There are NOT many blacks out west. There are NONE in the high priced areas.
