I love Snake and Jakes. Their hours are 7 PM to 7 AM. One can stumble out of there at closing time just in time to catch an early trolley down St Charles and back to Canal. The rest of the journey back to Esplanade is a bit more challenging.

BTW, I have spent some good times in Cincinnati having been stationed in Dayton for two years. I was there during Pete Rose's glory years. Attended a game where he added a homer to record.

The two winters I lived in Ohio, 1977 and 1978 both broke weather records, one for the most snow and the other for coldest temps. I have an old picture somewhere of my Pontiac's antenna sticking up out of a giant lump of snow.

Son-in-law is from Hillsboro but were are still going to keep him.

I am having lots of Ohio memories now. Went to a Randy Newman concert at Antioch College in Yellow Springs. As a military man, I felt more welcome in Viet Nam than I did on that campus. I did like their campus radio station, thought.

I am a fan of Cincinnati Chili, too
