Martha Lunken writes a column for Flying magazine. It's called "Unusual Attitudes." She is a Cincinnati girl who has been flying for almost all of her life and is retired from the FAA.

Mr. Boomer has a subscription to Flying. (along with every other publication in existence on the subject) And a few months ago, he told me, "You have got to read this woman." (No, he did not say, "You have got to read this, WOMAN!") He wanted me to read Martha Lunken's column. He said I would like her sense of humor. And I should read her stuff.

But I whined and protested and said that I did not want to read about flying. But finally Mr. B. convinced me. (I'm easy.)

And Mr. B. was right. I do like reading her column.

In the October issue, her column's title was "Why I'm Not a Junior Leaguer." And that one had me laughing out loud. I was going to link it in here for you, but it is not on the website yet. But I found a lot of her other columns. Here is one about going to Central Florida for some flight simulator stuff.
