Two things:

1. What does "STICKY" mean that I see on so many threads?

2. Akin to fake news, is using "GUEST" as an identifier just another CS way to be an "unnamed" or "anonymous" source?

Sticky means the moderator has deemed that thread worthy of staying at the top.

Sticky are threads that are kept permanently. They may be rules of this forum, tips on living here, whatever the admin feels is important enough to keep.

Due to the general nastiness of some in the political forum, it was decided that everyone who posted there would be guest and that forum would not be moderated. That way, it prevented much of the vitriol from being spread via private messages and general harassment in other forums. Some like it, since it leaves them free to spew whatever they want. Others hate it for the very same reason. Basically, enter the political forum at your own risk.
