Are there any facilities here for lapidary? Is there a club for people who enjoy rock hounding?
Yes, there is. The Gem and Mineral Club meets Thursday evenings at 6:00 at Seabreeze. The first Thursday of each month is a business meeting. Other Thursdays, and Sunday mornings are workshops.

The club owns a number of saws, grinding machines, faceting machines, and various tools. We recently had a rock hounding trip to a mine in LaGrange Ga. New members are welcome.

We also have a subgroup that makes jewelry.

On November 9 we are having a show/sale during our meeting time at 6:30 at Seabreeze, for club members to sell their creations. Please come. You will see many unique items.

And, Saturday February 24, 2018 is our big Gem and Mineral Show. We fill up the entire Seabreeze Recreation Center with club members and outside vendors showing and selling rocks, gems, jewelry, beads, supplies, and many other items. Our charity partner from the Dominican Republic will be there selling Larimar jewelry mined and made by young people who are trying to escape poverty. Yes, it is direct from the mine.
