And the United States and Syria are the only two countries in the entire world.....us and SYRIA...to deny it.

The OP's thread: "Global warming is stronger than ever, and nearly all of it is man-made new government...."

"The report issued in the US government sponsored "Climate Science Special Report" does not provide a complete portrayal of science.

It is fraught with incomplete information and reinforces the need for a more rigorous review of climate assessment

The report notes that global sea level rose an average of 0.05 inch a year during the 20th century and twice that rate since 1993.

However, the report fails to mention that the rate fluctuated by comparable amounts several times during the 20th century.

The same research papers the report cites, show that recent rates are statistically indistinguishable from peak rates in early in the 20th century when human influences on the climate were much smaller . Thus the report highlights recent trends without placing it in a complete historical context

The executive summary declares that heat waves have become more common since 1960; although acknowledge the 1930's Dust bowl as the peak period for extreme heat.

Yet buried deep in this report is a figure showing that heat waves are no more frequent today than in 1900

The National and Atmospheric Administration stated that it has been unable to detect any human impact on hurricanes

Richard Feynman in his "1974 Cargo Cult" lecture, admonished scientist to discuss objectively all the relevant evidence, even that which does not support the narrative. That is the difference between science and advocacy

Several actions are warranted:

1. The report should be amended to describe the history of sea-level rise, heat waves and other trends fully and accurately

2. The government should convene a Red/blue adversarial review to test stress the entire repor.t

3. The institutions involved in the report should figure out how and why shortcomings survived multiple rounds of review."

A LOT of people make a LOT of money from "climate change"...a LOT of money.

A he11 of a lot MORE money is made by corporations, who don't have to spend the money to try and slow down the cause(s) of climate change.

It's sad how many right-wingnuts support eliminating regulations...that protect our environment.

It's almost as if they have selective loss of memory, of the massive pollution in our cities and rivers...before those damned lefties pushed through legislation cleaning up our air and water. :ohdear:

Top 5 Environmental Legislation: Clean Air, Endangered Species, Montreal Protocol, Clean Water and Reformation Plan No. 3 - ABC News (http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/top-pieces-environmental-legislation/story?id=11067662)

Our five most effective pieces of environmental legislation are the Clean Air Act, the Endangered Species Act, the Montreal Protocol, the Clean Water Act, and Reformation Plan No. 3 of 1970.

Because of these laws, the health of Americans and the environment they inhabit have dramatically improved.

So, let me get this straight.....you (and others) are arguing about WHO started the forest fire (analogy is apparent here) while the fire is getting bigger and you will not do anything to stop it.....

The fire IS getting bigger. IS it man made? Maybe. But it's NOT CO2...it's just not. CO2 may be following the temperature rise but it's NOT causing it. It's a tenth of a percent of greenhouse gas effect. The worlds temperature is cyclical. There are cycles within cycles. It's been rising since the last ice age ended...10,000 years ago. The ice melting and the seas rising 400ft are the stories of the great flood. Those stories lasted orally thousands of years before they were finally written down.

The whole CO2 thing is a farce. There are other gasses that contribute, some far more. But you don't want to regulate them because then manufacturing stops because you just CAN'T do it any other way.

We just moved the pollution to China and other 3rd world countries. We cleaned up here...and moved manufacturing overseas. Jobs/manufacturing went overseas for a LOT of reasons...and environmental regulations were a big one. EEO was another, companies were told who they had to hire...up to 20% dead wood.

The real world is complicated and synergistic.

Well for starters if you have been on TOTV long enough you begin to see a pattern of what I term the "The Singer , not the Song".

Its not what is said that is addressed but who said it.

And notice that some will misinterpret unintentionally or otherwise what has been written.

So again for some, Steven E, Koonin, undersecretary of Energy & Science under OBAMA did not write in his "Deceptive New Report On Climate"that refuted the premise of the study as such. Rather he stated that the study was not accomplished properly citing Richard feynman's 1974 Cargo Cult lecture wherein he demanded that all scientific data be included in any study so as to differentiate science from advocacy.

Koonin did not say he disagreed with the outcome he simply said you can not rely on the outcome because all of the science was not presented nor considered.

It may well be that humans have left too heavy a carbon footprint on our environment However, conversely, with the inclusion of all scientific data, scientist may discover another cause or no cause by humans.
