Trump says that it is not a gun issue, but a mental health issue. Trump signed a law recently allowing mentally ill people access to guns....

After each massacre, we were told to pray. Just what did you all pray for? Looks like most of you prayed for another massacre, cause it just keeps happening....

You're blaming the wrong people...minorities ARE responsible for 90% of the killings in America. Only they're hidden away in the inner city slums.
You ONLY worry about killings when it happens in YOUR neighborhoods.

It seems to be an issue of Donald John Trump's mental health. He is living in another world than many of us.

Yes he is...he's living in the world of "royalty".
That's what being president allows...something Trump the "billionaire" didn't have access to and wanted. Now's he's forced himself into a club I don't think "they" wanted him in. I think they find him too rash, too crude. I think that is why nobody has done anything about the treatment he's enduring or the strong insubordination we're seeing. I've never seen a president treated this badly. Things that would have gotten you locked up for sedition are encouraged.
The liberals REALLY hate him. He's the pendulum swinging back. The "royals" dislike him. He's got a tough road ahead...if he's not squeaky clean legally...he may be removed...minorities ARE the majority now...the majority usually gets its way.

I always ask but never get an answer.....just what did Obama get done regarding the much ballyhooed gun problem we have here in America.
The answer is nothing. Or else there would not be any instances as we have seen in recent months.
It is a drum that is beaten by both sides every time there is a shooting incident. Then depending upon the flavor/race/religion/politics/special interest/minorities determines the size of the drum and the BS discourse that precedes, during and after the incident.
THEN.......nothing still happens.
The partisan BS is the most insulting to any sentient being.

No worries, out of your cold dead hands the next generation will take your gun away. They do care.

I do have a gun license..
Not everybody has a permit (different from a license) to have/carry a firearm.
Licensing does a number of positive things regarding gun control (notice it is CONTROL not confiscation)
1) Licensing through a state agency gives the state needed information on the gun owner. (mental stability, felony record, etc)
2) Licensing usually requires a competency test to insure that the gun owner KNOWS how to handle and safely secure that weapon.
3) The test usually has a training program associated with it for ALL licensees.
4) Licensing will also help track any firearm lost or stolen through the firearm's serial number.
5)There are insurance programs that are (and could be in the future) available that cover the firearm and the liability and injury issues.
NONE of the proposed licensing programs take firearms away from people who have legally obtained them.
You license your car/truck......yes there are still crimes that are associated with vehicles, and there are still people who steal those vehicles, but because of the licensing procedures, any vehicle can be traced back to proper owners, and some have been actually reunited after theft.

I'm all for requiring anyone that buys a firearm to have passed a firearm safety course. There have been just too many people running out buying guns because they are afraid they will be outlawed. A lot of these people have never fired a gun in their life. Heck, a lot of them have never even handled a gun.

Driving a car isn't a constitutional right.

And I doubt they ever will...it'll stay in a box in the closet.
