Despite constant attacks and allegations of "fake news," our free press culture has never been more deeply ingrained and widely shared. The explosion of media -- the good, the bad and the truly fake -- means that we now have an even greater stake in this culture and more responsibility to be consumers of quality information. We should ask: Do we know the source of our information? Do we know the agenda behind it? Can we corroborate it someplace else? Can we distinguish fact from opinion, and challenge our own biases in the process?-Frank Sesno

In order...it's truly fake at 90%...the bad 9%...and the good 1%.

No...we cannot...unless we were standing there when it happened...we ARE relying COMPLETELY on someone else relaying only and ALL the facts.

They ALL have an agenda. It's mostly propaganda what we see/hear in the "news". Trying to get support for, or to rally against something/somebody.

It’s called common sense. Always look at everything with a critical eye. The ignorance of our population is outstanding and an embarrassment to the rest of the world. Ask any young person today what was the emancipation proclamation or how many world wars did our country fight in. You’ll be lucky to get a 50/50 answer. Most would give the wrong answer and the remaining no answer at all. Our population is STUPID and we will be paying for it dearly in our lifetime.

With the election of Donald John Trump for instance. A con man who can easily be seen as a phony with a small number of clicks to reliable sources.

Using the same recommendation and the same magnifying glass and prejudice how would our black unknown from Illinois have fared? How about "W"? Kennedy?

The problem with the validity of anti-Trumpers they want everybody to believe what they say about Trump is unique. And worst of all that everything anti-Trump they see or hear
is true. And if nothing available....then just make something up.

Look at it as if they are lying to you...because 90% of the time...they are.

Do YOU think it was about FREEING the slaves? Because if you do...you're just as stupid as those you mock. It was a WEAPON used against the south. It freed THEIR slaves...the slaves in the confederate states...none of the slaves in the north were freed. Slavery was used as a weapon of war...it certainly wasn't a humanitarian effort. Lincoln knew we'd never live together, he wanted them sent to Liberia. Slavery provided an advantage in the north because they could manufacture a product cheaper. The whole anti-slavery campaign in to get jobs for white men back. Free states were free because white's didn't want competition from slave holders who could do the work cheaper. Slavery was popular in the south because the blacks were used as draft animals and "combines" picking cotton and other crops. NOBODY wanted to be out in the fields in the heat with the bugs...so black slaves were brought in to do it. They were also counted as 3/5ths because of their immense numbers. The NORTH wanted them counted as 3/5ths...NOT the south.

We ARE LIED to...constantly...about everything.
