We visited the Villages from our son's home in Orlando. We like what we see and had a very nice agent show us around. During the driving from place to place, our agent/guide mentioned that everyone in the Villages believes that their community is the best. But our question is slightly broader. Does any resident have an opinion on one county versus another county?
Any insights will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I believe you'll pay more taxes in Marion County. Sumter county south of 466 will have higher amenity fees, bonds and stricter property restrictions than Sumter County north of 466. Don't know too much about Lake County.
I live in Lake County, Village Mira Mesa.
No bond!
As for taxes, I don't think you'll find "great" differences around TV 'cept for value of homes.
I like the mature landscape we have throughout most of the Lake county of TV.
And I like the Mira Mesa location for distances to the Lopez area & Havana area. Both are just about 20 minutes by golf cart.

All the new construction is in Sumter County. TV contributes a huge amount to the care and feeding of the county, and is blesed to have Villagers on the County Commission.
Over-all population in both Lake and Marion counties is much, much larger than in Sumter, and Villagers are a small part of each of those counties.
