When we came to The Villages, one of the biggest disappointments of restaurants was Johnny Rockets. It looked dirty and the food was not good. Fast forward to today....what a tremendous difference. We walked in, the place was clean, the staff was extremely courteous and the food was delicious. We spoke with the manager (Lorainne) and the corporate manager (Juan) and they talked about them upgrading their store and image. I totally want to compliment them on the improvements we saw today vs 6 months ago. I'd definitely go there again. This is the Johnny Rockets I remember. Plus, rumor has it they were leaving their spot....they confirmed today that was just a rumor. This is a corporate store and they have no intention of leaving.

I agree, when we were there last Februaury it was a mess. The wait staff was about as happy to see us as an IRS agent. They just ignored us until my wife went over and "spoke" to them.
We'll have to see when we get there in December if they really have changed their spots.
Still cant beat In-N-Out.

Im so happy to hear this, as I love their theme and their atmosphere. Also I have 2 free burger coupons that Ill be glad to use now!
incidentally, we received the coupons because of our complaint to the manager about how dirty the place was.

I tried In-N-Out when I was out west one time and enjoyed it. I have since found out that they have a "Secret Menu" and some of the items there I would just love to try. Fries "animal style" and the "animal style" burger both sound interesting but not at the same meal as they might kill you.
I wish other fast food joints would have secret menu's. Subway's has a pizza sub that was one on the menu and can be ordered if the employee knows how to make it.

I have your order waiting until Dec 1st, Deb, and then I'll get it nice and hot off the griddle.
Now you know that Julie wants to spend 8-9 days crossing the country and looking at the various sights, Sssoooooo, maybe Buddy can keep it warm or I could put it on the engine, ala Beverley Hillbillies style. It might be a tad dried out by then. How bout a nice CA. red just to make up for it?
My son has practiced the hidden menu since he was old enough to order his own. It was pretty funny the first time I heard him order all these things from a kid only a year or two older than he, and they seemed to be speaking a foriegn language.
Here's hoping Johnny Rockets can come close.
