Turkish-Iranian gold trader Reza Zarrab, who was arrested in Florida in March 2016 for fraud and money laundering, was scheduled to go to trial this week. Instead, he's accepted a plea deal and will testify against his codefendant in a conspiracy.

Federal prosecutors are now pursuing a separate but parallel investigation into whether Flynn used his cabinet position to secure Zarrab's release from a New York jail and return to Turkey a controversial Muslim cleric loathed by [Turkish President] Erdogan — in exchange for as much as $15 million.

Mueller has reportedly compiled enough evidence to bring charges against Flynn and his son, Michael Flynn Jr., related to his lobbying work throughout the latter half of 2016 — while he was a top Trump campaign surrogate — for a businessman with ties to the Turkish government. Flynn did not register with the US Justice Department as a foreign agent until March 2017.

Something's up. Is there a deal with Michael Flynn? Robert Mueller's team, according to this from CNN has delayed grand jury testimony. This comes a week after Flynn's attorneys told Donald Trump's lawyers they would no longer share information.
