Looking for an excellent Pain Management Dr./Clinic in The Villages area to treat lower back pain. Would also entertain any experience with acupuncture in this area to treat same.

Best pain doc we have found is Dr. Patrick Alger of Arbor Medical in Laurel Manor. He takes time with you to really find out where the pain is, how it affects you, etc. he gives injections in the exact right place. We highly recommend him.

A good chiropractor and lots of walking helped me. Sorry for your pain, good luck.

I keep my inversion set up on my lanai all the time. When my back acts up I hang then go for a walk. Been doing it for about 30 years since my back operation that only gave temporary relief.

Do not, under any circumstances go to Davis Clinic. They have many complains registered with Seniors Against Crime, and I know from personal experience and extensive investigation this establishment is one of the biggest scams in The Villages. My goal in relaying this information to help as many people as I can avoid the unfortunate experience that I and others have had there.

I personally have a negative story/experience from years back re: this "clinic". I don't recommend them neither.

my dr who treats my back and sciatica is dr. payman, with spine intervention specialists...his 5 start health grade ratings speak for itself...he is professional , empathetic, and cares about the patient first and foremost. he has extended the same care to me and my husband for years and i could not be happier...he has been treating patinets in the villages for over 6 years, and really cares about us first.

We appreciate your post at just the correct time. The cold weather with the loss of the use of the pool for the time being has brought on the back/spinal pain big time. After the holidays I am going to go to whatever is the next level to try to help reduce the pain level. Medication is out. The inversion thing sounds great if not practical in my case. Thanks to all for the ideas.

I am 79 yrs old . Have several damaged discs-lower back. Six years ago was taken in ambulance to emergency care ( two days in a row, because I could not get out of an office type chair. Diagnosis "you have a bad back" take these drugs and check back.
Did not like those instructions. Went online to Mayo and found lower back exercises. Decided to do them daily in my hot tube at 102 degs. very early morning (regardless of outside temps)
After immersion and exercises I experience NO lower back issues until I get out of bed next morning.
Changed my life immeasurably. If I go more than two days without the Hot Tub therapy, symptoms return with growing intensity each day.
Hope this helps someone else
Now play golf 5 or 6 days a week (no pain or stiffness ) No Drugs, Chiro, Massage, Acupuncture--------
