The lawyers are at the word smithing game again. Same old song printed on different paper. Do they think we the people are not paying attention? Or just going about the usual stroking themselves to feel better about ignoring we the people.
OK....let's accept that if we all like Medicare then this is only Medicare (E)xpanded to include (E)veryone.
Call it what ever one wants....the issues are the same with the most significant issue being cost. I have accepted by now the fact the American people are becoming accustomed to the fact it does not matter whether one has the money or not.....just go ahead and do it. Isn't that what drove this country to the economic disaster we now have called the jobless economic recovery?
MEDICARE...."...37 TRILLION DOLLARS IN DEBT..."
MEDICARE...."...BANKRUPT IN 2018..."
And these numbers are WITHOUT the (E)veryone included!!!!!
So if this charade gets past those with a heart beat, how will the proponents describe where the money will come from? Something like...the Medicare we all know and love, that is going bankrupt in 2018 has waste and fraud in it, soooooooo, let's REDUCE THE BENEFITS in that group to fund the (E)veryone Medicare. Or some other just as stupid trial balloon.
No matter what they call it....your providers who are all already to the max will become inundated when the (E)veryone crowd shows up at the same office.
No matter what there will be a reduction of services being offered to the current non (E)veryone Medicare. That is how they propose to get the savings (uh-oh wait a minute barf.....sorry about that!!).
No matter what your premiums for supplemental coverage will go up.
No matter what Medicare Part A & B premiums will go up.
No matter what, to have future health care coverage on a par with what you currently enjoy under Medicare.....you will have to get additional supplemental coverage.
No matter what there will be armies of administrators added to the payrolls.
And yes, no matter what....there will be some form of benefit denial for those who are much older than those in the new (E)veryone crowd.
And in closing, no matter what, the entitlement gang(s) and the politicians will be the only winners.....for now.
2010 & 2012 throw the bums out....ALL INCUMBENTS.
For the partisan crowd, all the no matter whats above will hit you too.
Food for thought...are you allowed to over draw your personal checking account? Are you allowed to borrow with no limit from your banks? Even when you aren't paying the current loan? Really????
