Jaws 2 (1978) - Rotten Tomatoes (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/jaws_2/)

I have seen this many times before but just caught it again on one of the cable stations. Not as good as Jaws for shocks but still has kind of a bite to it.

When these came out I was glad I did not live any where near an ocean.

I prefer Jaws 4 Where I remember the reviewer on TV said "in this movie the shark looks bored" :a040:

Jaws 2 was filmed in Navarre Beach, Florida, which is about 20 miles from Pensacola where I lived at the time. They based camp at the Holiday Inn Navarre, which had a Holidome interior and is seen in the opening scene with the band playing. Sadly the Holiday Inn is no longer there, was demolished in a hurricane in 1995.

I made a couple of trips to the area to see any filming, only saw the director working on shots he had in mind, I guess a planning stage. I did see the sharks, they had about 5 of them on little trailers that would probably be used for Ski-dos. A chain link fence surrounded them and had canvas so you couldn't see the sharks directly but by going up to the second floor you could look down on them. I took some photos of everything but those pictures are long lost.

I seem to recall this John W from a post a long time ago. Thanks for sharing that.
