We are in the process of purchasing a home in Fenney while still living out-of-state. The developer's literature indicates Comcast provides service there. However when I call the 800 number, I am told they have no record of our address. I know there is a local Comcast office in Summerfeld, but the only the only number listed is the 800 number. Has anyone else in Fenney found a way to establish service?

We just had service put in last week. I explained it was a new street in new development. Comcast customer service stinks so call back and hopefully you get a rep who knows what they are doing.

Is Comcast the only option in Fenney?

I would go with Direct TV before even considering Comcast. They are terrible!

We have Spectrum for everything here in Fenney and no problems since starting with them 5 months ago.

For Vintageogauge - We are moving into Fenney in a couple of weeks. Our address isn't listed as a valid address when I spoke with Spectrum. How do we go about getting them? Is there a local Wildwood Spectrum office? If so, can you get me a local number for them? Thanx!

Direct TV is satellite and Comcast is cable. They are completely different as far as type of service. I've had satellite service in Florida before and would not do it again. Satellite service may have improved in the past few years but all I remember from years ago was losing the signal when weather approaches. Cable is much more reliable as far as receiving and maintaining the signal. There is no comparison to what we experienced years ago with Direct TV satellite. We never lose the signal with Comcast Xfinity cable service.

There's an office right off of 301 in Wildwood. Across the street from the Dollar General.
730 S Main St

The only phone # I can find is their 888 number.

100% agree! Satellite is AWFUL in Florida, especially since the weather changes constantly. I loved the vast number of channels we would get with Direct TV, but it didn't make up for the spotty service.
I loved having Comcast. Unfortunately, they don't service where we're located in Wildwood, so we have Spectrum. Not terrible service, but I still prefer Comcast.

We have Comcast cable and have had no issues with it. We also had to explain that we were in a new development.

Before you complain about some companies here is a sort of classic. In January I called Century Link to see what they charged for internet. After that I started to receive bills for "Something". I called them in Jan and told them I never had their service, I don't have any of their equipment and no one ever came to my door. They said bill was wrong and would credit. Just received another bill and called them again, repeated my "never had story" and again they said they would credit and to forget the bill. My question is how can this happen. Is there a hope the Seniors of the Villages will pay the fake bill? If you never rec'd their equipment, never received any service and no one every came to your door..how in God's name could you owe anything? :yuck:

Call them back and ask to speak to a supervisor. This is not a big deal and is easily fixed.
