Youtube leaving Amazon Fire TV

I got a message last night that Youtube will cease service on Amazon Fire TV on 1/1/2018. I searched the net and can't find anything. I haven't seen anything on the news either. Does any one know why?

Can't play well together.

I just checked again and it is because of a feud between Google and Amazon. I own 4 of these and if I had known this was coming, I would have bought Roku.

Check out YouTubeTV....$35.00 a month and you get lots of local channels wherever you are. Works on computer, tablet, smartphone. We use it in TV and also in Tennessee where we live also.
